In a way it matters if you can pee standing up! For example, I can't pee in front of people, and it's really uncomfortable at times because of this childhood trauma. So maybe it's important to encourage stuff like peeing standing up, peeing anywhere, whatever. Cause otherwise you're just putting up borders to "abilities" your kid can have.
