@ShitImDrunk they put a governer on the bikes so they can't go past 186...but they can be removed fairly easy...and sut all do you have done to ur 600 cuz there is no way in hell ur 600 does 186 w/o a full exhaust, powercommander, etc....unless u were going down a big ass hill!!!

Boost is the small gauge in middle, RPM is the big gauge bottom left, MPH is the screen, and let me just say that this is amazing!!! To do 200mph in a controlled environment is one thing, on the freeway is one outstanding accomplishment. From Texas I give mad props. 1stable on camera everything looks alot slower. And maybe for you it looked really fast cause you were actually on the bike feeling the wind, vibration, fear and noise of motor and wind. Last summer I used to go 160mph almost everyday going home from the gym. Like around 12-1am, no cars. So if you would do it more often then it would feel many, many, many times slower. 160 feels slow now, I lay on the tank behind the windshield and hold only the right handle bar, one hand. yeah, well he is right! Changing the gearing changes the speedo reading. And at top speed even a stock bike is off by around 10%. GPS is the ONLY true way to verify speed. He is going very fast, no doubt though!

Simply going -1/+2 on the gearing introduces more than 15% speedo error when combined with the 6-8% error that the speedo has in stock trim.

That means 202 on the dash = 170 or less REAL miles per hour.

Next time use a GPS if you want to quiet the naysayers, a speedo can't be verfied, a GPS is usually accurate +/- 1mph

im going to have to say this vid is legit. my 1998 gsxr 750 would do about 170 stock.. it wouldnt suprise me that a gixxer 1000 hit 200 with a turbo... the world record on a turbo busa is like 262 mph... lol to everyone arguing about how its geared.. its got to be stock gears.. them bikes run about 190 to 200 stock anyways.. and hes probably runnin low boost its all acceleration... top end really didnt change...

I have an 03`Gixxer thou with a pipe and TRE and it will only do low 180`s. Cycle world turbo`d a busa and only managed 202 and melted a piston. And that was with the same bike that did 194 stock in 99. Rider size makes a HUGE difference.

Oh and one more thing i just thought of. the speedo is driven off of the front wheel. which means you can put what ever sprocket you want on there and it will not effect the speedometer calibration.
