i met a guy at the ann arbor hash bash (96ish) that had a perfect homemade semi-working model that could walk beside him and turn its head. the arms rocked forward and back in macho fashion with the leg movement, but was clockworks basically... still some of the best work i've ever seen. used a fish pump, airbrush compressor motors and some other stuff to run it pneumatically and contribute 64% electricity generation while in use (supposidly). little hippygeek is probly an imagineer by now
