i was in mizzou 1st week in april snagging in the osage just down from bagnell dam we did good got plenty my biggest was round 55ish lbs and the best eating fish i have ever had. good times cant wait till next year for my vacation

They stir up the bottom of the lake with their nose then filter mouthfulls of silt to get plankton. The only way to catch them is to snag them while the root around on the bottom. Nice flatty. We've managed to hook a few of those down on Tablerock when we snag. Always hard to put them back, but hey it's better than a ticket. I've always wanted to try snagging up near Osceola and Schell Osage when the bills are running good, but haven't yet.

We had a banner year on Tablerock last year. One of my buddies who goes to college in Springfield caught and released over 100 paddlefish in the month of April. The high water had them holed up hard core.
