At Wrestlemania 19, we see The Rock defeat Stone Cold one on one with no interruptions or outside interference, something we probably hadn't seen since Bret Hart made Austin pass out with the sharpshooter at WM13.

That is why these two guys imo should and will go down as the two greatest wrestlers of all time in terms of popularity.

Consider the time when Austin gave the Intercontinental title to the Rock before stunning him. After the stunner he offered up some words of wisdom: "DTA, Rock. Don't Trust Anybody".

The Rock hardly ever trusted anyone after that.

I always saw Stone Cold as The Rock's teacher in a bizarre way. Stone Cold was the winner of the WWF, the number one that The Rock secretly learned from.

The Rock was a protege in a way, under the care of Stone Cold Steve Austin.

How many times did Austin save the Rock from situations? Lots. How many times did it happen the other way round? None.

Like this video shows, Austin regularly gatecrashed the Rocks promos. The Rock always looked weary, if a little nervous.

i think the rock and trple h rivalry was very good also and it lasted a long time but no dout wrestlemania 17 was the best.  i was 11 and i actually cryed when the rock lost. thats how inportant macthes were back in the day. now days i dont give fuck who wins so the excitment is not there anymore. plus they need to cut more and better promos, thats what get you hiped to want to see the macth

Austin and The rock last year at the wwe hall of fame ceremony the fans got it spot on when they started chanting "1 more match, 1 more match". God i would love to see the Rock and Austin get it on 1 more time at mania. Those two cut some of the best promos and had some of the best matches in wwf/wwe history.
