Every asshole who does this needs to be made to watch this done to his/her kids, even forced to participate. While this is occurring they should be housed as they have housed the animals they tortured, no water. They will be told from the start that as soon as their last remaining loved one is dead that they will go through the process themselves. I wanna adopt a dog from a shelter so bad but my grandpa says no cuz we have 1 So I told him how lonley and sad the dogs are in the cages in shelters... And he said when my other dog I have now... Passes away... He said.. Just maybe, Maybe, We'll get one. So I hope it's a yes. But I sure will miss the dog I have now.

I saved my cat from the shelter. I know she appreciates it so much. Whenever I go look for a new dog or cat I always go to the shelter. It's always crowded there. Not the people, but the animals. I hate how animals leave this world without a second chance. Everybody needs one.

This is amazing and it will insprire so many people to adopt shelter animals, i did me, as this is the 20th odd time i have whached this :/ but because of this, i have resqued 2 cats, 3 guinea pigs, 2 dogs, a hamster and have donated over 50 pounds in the last year :) i plan, in the future to adopt a labtest beagle resque, an amreican lab and 2 dachounds. shelter dogs are the best dogs ever. I hate people that don't get shelter dogs because they aren't "pure breeds" First off most mutts are really sweet and very smart! And anyways you can totally get a pure breed from a shetler instead of a breeder who probably doesn't even love their dogs! My four dogs are from shelters, and so are my two cats, and my horses and birds! Don't pity a shelter dog, adopt one :P

Honestly if I had a gun, I would go to the pound and shoot the pound staff and take all the dogs home to give they a good home, a nice loving, caring family. I grew up with 6 dogs, I love animals. Once I tried to break into the pound and steal a dog to take it home so the dog wouldn't be tortured but I got caught :( it makes me cry to see any animal (especially dogs) to get tortured/killed. What did the animal do to you, it tried to give you its doggy heart and you rejected it by hurting it

I volunteer at the animal shelter 4 times a week to walk the dogs. I have not met one mean dog there yet. I think my Italian Greyhound who i purchased from a breeder has more problems then these dogs! I would give anything to take one home!

The thing about videos like this, they pull at your heartstrings, but the message I wish they could also emphasize is that you are NOT getting a second rate dog in any way when you go to the shelter. Not in any way. I don't care if it's purebred or mutt, they're every bit as good as the most expensive from a good breeder. Keep in mind that many show/circus dogs came from shelters, the trainers were looking for ability, not papers. Does that not tell you something?

i got a dag from the animal shelter in north judson a month ago and i had it for two weeks and it ended up dieing becauce in was hurt really bad (she got thrown out a window of a semi)
as my husband told me when i rescued a dachshand that was thrown oiut a car at 75 mph .. we were behind the guy when it happened... and this dog was alive but had brean damage and spinal snapped... i tryed for 4 months to save this dog... finally lost him... but my husban said at least he had love the last few moments of his life thats all that matters..
kudos to you for taking this poor dog in and showing it some love in its last hours...I have two Beagles from the Humane Society, they are such a joy..I donate to rescues and spay/neuter programs...dogs are just a reflection of their owners....

Heartbreaking. Every one of these beautiful dogs only wants to live in a home and be loved. A huge part of the problem in Canada are the rental laws - excellent dog owners are prevented from adopting due to the "no pet" clause so many landlords buy into.
I think these shelters are godd,recently my girl bought a black dog to match her three piece suite,but she then bought a white suite,so she just took the dog down to our local shelter,made a small donation and they put the dog down for her.she now has a white poodle which she is happy with.

I saved my cat from the shelter. I know she appreciates it so much. Whenever I go look for a new dog or cat I always go to the shelter. It's always crowded there. Not the people, but the animals. I hate how animals leave this world without a second chance. Everybody needs one.

Thank you cindy for a beautiful video! I got my dog from my local humane society in Jan. 97. he was 3 months old but he passed away in May 2010. The very best friend I ever had. The best decision I ever made was adopting him and I never dreamed that he would bring so much joy, love, friendship and happiness into my heart and home. we went almost every where together. he was a really smart dog. This is amazing and it will insprire so many people to adopt shelter animals, i did me, as this is the 20th odd time i have whached this :/ but because of this, i have resqued 2 cats, 3 guinea pigs, 2 dogs, a hamster and have donated over 50 pounds in the last year :) i plan, in the future to adopt a labtest beagle resque, an amreican lab and 2 dachounds. shelter dogs are the best dogs ever. I hate people that don't get shelter dogs because they aren't "pure breeds" First off most mutts are really sweet and very smart! And anyways you can totally get a pure breed from a shetler instead of a breeder who probably doesn't even love their dogs! My four dogs are from shelters, and so are my two cats, and my horses and birds! Don't pity a shelter dog, adopt one :P

Honestly if I had a gun, I would go to the pound and shoot the pound staff and take all the dogs home to give they a good home, a nice loving, caring family. I grew up with 6 dogs, I love animals. Once I tried to break into the pound and steal a dog to take it home so the dog wouldn't be tortured but I got caught :( it makes me cry to see any animal (especially dogs) to get tortured/killed. What did the animal do to you, it tried to give you its doggy heart and you rejected it by hurting it

I volunteer at the animal shelter 4 times a week to walk the dogs. I have not met one mean dog there yet. I think my Italian Greyhound who i purchased from a breeder has more problems then these dogs! I would give anything to take one home!

The thing about videos like this, they pull at your heartstrings, but the message I wish they could also emphasize is that you are NOT getting a second rate dog in any way when you go to the shelter. Not in any way. I don't care if it's purebred or mutt, they're every bit as good as the most expensive from a good breeder. Keep in mind that many show/circus dogs came from shelters, the trainers were looking for ability, not papers. Does that not tell you something?

I sat here with my pup on my lap just bawling as I watched this movie. I don't know how anyone could watch this, know the facts and not cry.
This was so well done. I honestly wish that everyone thinking of getting a dog would watch this before they made their choice between a breeder/pet store or a shelter/rescue.

as my husband told me when i rescued a dachshand that was thrown oiut a car at 75 mph .. we were behind the guy when it happened... and this dog was alive but had brean damage and spinal snapped... i tryed for 4 months to save this dog... finally lost him... but my husban said at least he had love the last few moments of his life thats all that matters..

i adopted a shitzu last year at the orange county animal shelter and i still have him hes very adorable with his blue eyes when i saw him we knew he was the one and now hes happy as ever in a big backyard if any one wants to buy a dog or a puppy or any kind of animal please go to a shelter your saving a life and will make them happy there more loyal too and it feels good to adopt one.

Heartbreaking. Every one of these beautiful dogs only wants to live in a home and be loved. A huge part of the problem in Canada are the rental laws - excellent dog owners are prevented from adopting due to the "no pet" clause so many landlords buy into.

I think these shelters are godd,recently my girl bought a black dog to match her three piece suite,but she then bought a white suite,so she just took the dog down to our local shelter,made a small donation and they put the dog down for her.she now has a white poodle which she is happy with.
