  • Another thing about this drummer, I like the way he's got his bass drum tuned....it's really really punchy. Sounds badass.

  • 8:28 - 8:40 There's an alien spacecraft flying in from the upper left part of the frame. It slowly drifts across the stage, right into Buck Dharma's left ear. Check it out.

  • @verminosity LOL!!

  • @verminosity Oh MY FUGGIN GOD! YES...YES...I can't believe more people aren't writing in on this. What the fuck is this?? Notice how it has a "trail" behind it, and then when it flies into Dharma's ear....immediately Dharma goes for his earpiece, as if something screwed up inside. If this was a show on the paranormal...this would be the perfect, intelligent "orb"!! Please....somebody who knows this stuff...please weigh in and tell me what this is? It's beyond incredible to me...fuckin' unreal!

  • that drummer needs a serious lesson in time keeping..he's slowing down and speeding up so much that i'm getting nauseous..

  • @blica1 I kinda noticed that too, but the whole band has this song slowed down too much I think. The drummer, you can tell, has had a lot of miles on his playing scorecard. It almost seems as if he wasn't quite as well versed with this song...if that's possible. And that Rudy Szaro is a monster bassist, ain't he?

  • Rudy Sarzo and Steve Harris, best bass players ever

  • man i LOVE B.O.C and hope they play forever, but they deserve better than this :(

.. feels like such a letdown from how big there crowds were in the past.

  • i saw them 2 blocks away from my house for 2 dollars

  • I saw them at the Morris Performing Arts Center in Indiana along with Grand Funk Railroad and Styx.

  • Is that Steven Tyler on Bass??

  • @ledzepplinbeatles Rudy Sarzo from Quiet Riot/Ozzy/etc.

  • @xrobwx Oh okay lol my bad.. Thanks

  • still having fun keep the music alive why retire ? new people no prob . there all good musians.no reason to fade away like deep purple

  • just noticing that crawford is the only one left WOW that sucks soo much

  • @TheShaolinScholar Who's crawford?

  • @vidzrus joan crawford o shit thats just the title of a song oops i meant the guy with the glasses it seems like hes the only cat left in the band i see all new faces

  • @vidzrus That's Eric Bloom...Buck Dharma's on guitar also from back in the the day.

Other originals Joe and Albert are in the band called Blue Coupe (videos posted on this channel.

  • @vidzrus joe and albert are my uncles! and I wish they were in this video, but oh well.

  • That's right, School days. Also another Stanley tune at the end.

  • That's right, School days.

  • my very first concert 1975...ANGEL...RUSH....Blue Oyster Cult.. joints came every where, someone hands you a empty bowl you filled it....you hitched hike any where ! you were picked up or you picked up anyone hitch hiking .... you talked ...you rolled a joint or they filled a bowl !!! no problem... what happened !! I have done 2 tours in afghanistan awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze star..I'll fill the next bong...SGT H

  • i saw them about 10 years ago and back in 1979.

    they should have retired

  • i just saw them at the Pacific Amiptheater, and I am so sorry to say this but it was terrible

  • First concert I ever saw..With my brother and future husband...was so great..loved the lazer show...thanks!!!!

  • @copper80611 In 1978..yeeegads...

  • Bands usually frack a song up when they change it around....

    NOT BOC!!! ZILLAGOD!!!

  • AWESOME !!!

  • Saw them later this same year at the river side festival in Rockford, IL. Looked like they were still having fun after all the years (1st saw them as Soft White Underbelly back in '68).

  • DAT BASS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Classic tune! love it!!

  • Godzilla is a pop culture legend

28 films and still going strong!

  • Sarzo wrote an awesome book about being in the Blizzard of Ozz. He was really tight with Randy Rhoads from the Quiet Riot days.

  • I photographed Blue Oyster Cult in 1975 in Calgary. To see the shots go to .ianmarkmusicphotos (.com)

  • Excellent insert by Rudy of Stanley Clarke's School Days in the solo.

  • Flea and this dude need to have a bass off.

  • That vid is badass. Old song but badass. Rudy kicks ass on bass.

  • Cracks me up from 2;42-2:50 when Eric is speakin Japanese, or a reasonable facsimile! Lol! Probably the only Japanese words he knows! LMAO! Only thing missing was a finger-lift to the outer corner of eyelids, in a "blindfold them with dental floss" gesture. Lol!

  • There it is......thats how its done.

  • Who is the drummer, and what's his pedigree? I couldn't catch his name. Good stuff.

  • @naderchaser Jules Radino on drums!!! He's awesome!!!

  • great rock-n-roll its oldzilla but great !!!!!

  • This video should be re-titled: "The Rudy Sarzo Medley" IMHO, "Godzilla" can more than stand on it's own...With or without Mr. Sarzo. No disrespect, I'm just sayin'

  • What is this horrible fucking goddamn abomination?

  • @radpcdrums

I am not sure, but I saw them for free, in Aurora Il a few years a go, and the performance was profoundly better than this.

  • Saw them in Penn State in 08...dang, I was bummed Allan Lanier wasn't with them anymore....hey, who's that guy on bass?? ..it's Rudy Sarzo!!!!! It was so cool when he did Ozzy/Whitesnake during his solo...I forgot he threw in Stanley Clarke's School Days... thanks for posting this!!!

  • @ArmorOfChrist777 Glad to see someone else recognized Schooldays licks in there. It shows Rudy is pretty diverse. Cheers!

  • @BMayhew60 oh..and what a great tone to play Stanley with...perfect!!!! Is that a Spector??

  • Comment removed

  • wow nvm, my bad. for some reason i always thought buck dharma was eric bloom, and vice versa.

  • dude, isn't that buck pushing rudy out on the stage?? pretty sure it is man

  • ugh

  • Maybe this isn't the right audience, but did anyone notice the few riffs from Stanley Clarke's "Schooldays" in the bass solo? Sweet. Look it up if you don't believe me.

  • Comment removed

  • @BMayhew60 @BMayhew60 I noticed that right away when I saw them!! I'm a bass player and I love Stanley!!....and Rudy too!!

  • Thank you for this.

  • Sorry, but these guys seem to go through more members than Spinal Tap. I'm actually surprised Buck and Bloom still get along. lol

Props to them for still rockin out though.

  • Sorry, but these guys go through more members than Spinal Tap. I'm actually surprised Bloom and Buck still actually get along. lol

  • This is Great to see The guys Still playing music .You should respect these Guys For all they have done in the music industry . Keep rocking Guys . Great solo,s too .Rudy is great But he's not better The BOC.

  • God bless him, love Rudy Sarzo... played with some of the biggest monsters in rock! Come on! He played with Randy Rhoads!! But, that has to be the tackiest, most embarrassing way to introduce your "high profile" bass player! Just let the dude play his solo, I'm sure anyone in the audience that cared knew exactly who he was! AWWWWWWWWWkward....

  • @StratocastLesPaul - Sarzo is way too talented to be playing this BOC. Doesn't show case his talents IMO.

  • lol keep clicking 5:26

  • "Play bass for me dude!!!" For some reason I can't picture Ozzy saying that.

  • @magtownrep he would have said "eebiddy beebiddy weebiddy boobedy"

  • @ssolo8 That is so freakin' hysterical!! I'm laughin' my head off!! You're a funny guy!! You left out, "Sharon!!!!!!! I've pissed meself again!!!

  • monster player! one of my heros when i was not even a teen, awesome to see him not only still playing but playing at this level when so so many of "our heros" who have aged are a shadow-he still has the right to be up on that stage!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • he i one badass bass player!!

  • I love BOC, but I have to admit. This make me a little sad. Feels a little Spinal Tap-like... "and now... from the where are they now file..."

    Still a great band though.

  • A shell of their former selves. This is what our childhood heros are reduced to, playing parking lot venues and state fairs. *sigh* It sucks getting old.

  • @commandertrig I've seen BOC play 8,000 seat venues in the 70s and I've seen them play 250 seat venues in 2000s. They still kick ass, but it is like seeing a cover band of themselves since only 2 original members are in the band. What is really cool is Rudy playing Stanley Clarke. I always wanted to play that tune in a band.

  • only thing i did not like bout rudy playing with boc is that his bass tone was to metal for them it could have had a warmer tone to it but other than that it was freakin amazin

  • Rudy Sarzo is amazing. I wish I could have seen Blue Oyster Cult when they came to my town in 1997 at the state fair. Big bands don't usually come there and I really missed out.

  • Wow, great double bass work!

  • this is really cool footage.man I like these guys.sure great to see this one.

  • I think its time for a new routine, been doing the godzilla, bass/drum solo for decades, time to bring back the 5 Guitars

  • i got to meet rudy yeasterday and all i got to say is what a nice dude he is he made sure every fan got to meet him and an autograph and picture ...i got so much more respect for him after that

  • Rudy Sarzo is sick on the Bass Guitar.

  • I cant wait to see BOC later in October. Its gunna be sick.

  • I can't bvelieve Rudy ripped off Stanley Clarke School Daze and Stu hamm in one solo...LMAo

  • Yes...B.O.C. reigns supreme, as usual!!!!!!!!!

  • @GREATWHITE2 ... ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND??

Listen to just 9:05 to10:00 alone. Are you deaf?

  • Victor Who?

  • Comment removed

  • the ghost of Andy Warhol at 2:47? lol

  • @timtt2 it doesnt even look like him

  • i so need that guitar!

  • Saw these guys open for Alice Cooper thee years ago. A show definitely worthy of a "kick ass" rating.

  • This is so awsome I'm in tears!

  • David Coverdale must see that video!!! Rudy, it's time to came back in WS!!! And if you can, bring Tommy Aldridge with you!

  • David Coverdale must see that video!!! Rudy, it's time to came back in WS!!! And if you can, bring Tommy Aldridge with you!

  • Joe Pesci filling in for Buck?

  • wow- that's Stanley Clarke's "School Days" in the beginning of Sarzo's bass solo

  • @sbifani1 Yes indeed. You must play bass

  • @tskaggs56 guitar, actually, but I do dig me some sick bass playing

  • Marshall Shop ?

  • sarzo is probably old as fuck haha

  • "Trudy" Sarzo had to be pointed out

  • still one of the greatest bands ever....

  • Wow! A new bass idol!

  • Great lighting in this video...

  • @ abascabanochies you made me laugh my ass off with the wasted on dust comment ! too fukn funny bro . i remember those daze (days) trippin balls halucinating ! wtf were we thinking bout back then ? lol

  • is this the actual band?

  • @DrivenBlack It is now, The only original members I see are Bloom and Buck Dharma. I sure miss the Bouchard Bros.

  • Its too light out for them to be playing lol

  • For there age, there fucking amazing.

  • what happened at 1:45 ? sounds like a chunkc of the video was cut out.

  • Jules ismyboy, LONG LIVE RADINO!

  • haha school days

  • Agreed...not the same without the Bouchard brothers. At least you got Eric Bloom and (especially) Buck Dharma, though.

  • I love how Eric pushes rudy forward then just goes backstage

  • Mitici BOC!!!!!!! Great!!!!!

  • that second rhythm guitarist just pisses me off the whole time

  • Bless Eric and his comedy! Loved the way he shoved Rudy to the front of the stage before his solo! When I saw BOC back in 2002 I thought Eric was the coolest performer I'd ever seen on stage, it was like he was just shuffling around his bedroom in his slippers. Everyone needs an Eric Bloom in their band!

  • @gugfuf Yeah eric is a funny guy.. met him though hes not the nicest.

  • This is really great, boc and rudy sarzo.. thanx for posting , sooo nice .. great rock sound....

  • Love buck's wail at 2:33

  • time is up and down

  • do caralho porra

  • Met Rudy at the New York state fair. Rock star!!!!!!!

  • I met him in 83 very nice guy

  • what is the riff at 4:10 from

  • crazy train by blck sabbath/ ozzy ozbourne

  • Crazy Train had nothing to do with Black Sabbath, other than the fact ozzy used to be in Black Sabbath. They probably played it here because Rudy Sarzo used to play with Ozzy's solo band.

  • @SidVicious10101 Very perceptive.

  • Love this version of Godzilla. For my money; one of my top 10 all time favorite 70's rock songs. Love Rudy and you try doin bass solos in a stadium setting.

  • sounded good to me...lets hear your bass solo mr. funk master

  • i just saw them saturday night....great show

  • sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

  • could use a little more cowbell...

  • the only crazier bass Ive seen is YYZ by rush

  • hey teaches lessons at jeff dennys music station in shirley

  • yup best drummer ive ever seen his name is jules radino

  • @ThunderGodX8 I wouldn't say he was the best I have ever seen, but his sound is sick and he has a ton of tricks in his solo, very hot indeed, but I'd like to see what he's do with one bass pedal. You can make up for a lot with miking and double bass -- agreed though, he is hot, I found myself wondering who is this guy, thx for answering

  • hey Billykid514 shut the hell up thats my drum teacher ur talking about ur just mad cause u dont have the skills like him

  • is he really ur drum teacher?

  • Albert Bouchard blows this drummer away bring back AL!

  • u would be amazed on how much people come and see classic rock bands

  • Sarzo rockin' the bell bottoms!

  • jeeezzzuuus you peeps--the accolades that you are spiilling in your stone-washed jeans is killing me! What a way to fuck-up a tune: ass-rock solos and really bad ass rock mini-covers. So what. Get to the real song. No wonder these poor bastards, BOC, have been reduced to pimping at redneck county fairs. LOL!

  • nothing lasts for ever, man. at least they still play, its all this old school bands i see playing for 5000 fans intead or 100 thousand u still think they suck, man get a life go back to your limp bizk, all this b.s rock and roll!

  • @KLinZ3 You must not know your BOC history. Everything about them and their songs is sarcasm. Regardless of their performances, they couldn't remain mainstream. Turned on a radio lately?

  • I love Buck Dharma's headless moon-like guitar.

Rudy Sarzo is one of the best ever. Very underrated. I saw them live and Rudy Sarzo played the most amazing bass solo.

  • Wish i went.......................

  • they did the same exact thing when i saw them open up for alice cooper and im glad they did it was sweet. great solo rudy

  • PsychadelicRockman!!!

    Do you live in Wausau?

I saw Alice Cooper Boc Flyleaf all at the marathon county fair this year.

  • I was there too.

  • just saw them, were amazing, but i was more impressed with jules radino than anything. Amazing Drummer

  • I was also at the Fair. I went for Blue Oyster Cult mostly, and they were great, especially Rudy. (Ok everyone was incredible). So was Alice, I just wish Blue Oyster Cult's set was longer.

  • i was there also. I couldn't believe their bassist

  • i know i alwalys knew rudy was good like with ozzy n stuff but never knew he was that fucking good!

  • I saw them a few hours ago at the Ohio State Fair, most of us went to see alice ... i could tell (it was obvious by the reactionslol...a few people cheered when they came on...when alice came on...all i heard was screaming!) haha they rocked though!

  • yeah i was at the fair too. i was pleasantly surprised with blue oyster cult. i thought they were great

  • Comment removed

  • Black n Blue again?

  • I saw them a few nights ago at Ribfest in Iowa, they were AWESOME, Rudy Sarzo is amazing!

  • Thanks for the updte on Allen. over the years when I saw saw BOC? he didnt look to good. and? he never seemed to be ejoying himself. but? cmon? Joan Crawford? the guys great whatever hes doing best wishes Allen.

  • and quite riot

  • I was actually here last year. It was my first (REAL) concert. I saw Blue Oyster Cult and CCR

  • HEY CHONGO !!!

  • hahahahahah detroit rock city man.

  • Rudy Sarzo, hes fucking amazing at bass wonder why hes so underrated!! he didnt show off his skill like that when he played with ozzy.

  • fucking awesome nice to hear them like this

  • buck darma rocks

  • Stanley Clarke at 4:17 Rudy Rocks!!!

  • From Isle of Cuba, Ruddy Sarzo...!!!

  • GREAT RUDY SARZO!

  • oh yea for Kirt, shmone, shelp and them whittier guys RRROOOOOOOOOGH!!!!!

    Fish

  • Friggin way too cool!!!

  • why is rudy sarzo from quiet riot there?

  • Kevin Debrow from Quiet Riot Died of an COCAINE OVERDOSE in December of 2008. They decided not to reform again so the man has gotta work. and why not for BOC?
