This is a horrible list, if your going to mention that crappy Prius then you need to mention the Honda insight, its better for the money then the Prius
Electric Motors tend to have more torque, and leave gas engines by the way side... although in these early days of transition from gas to electric... the car industry tend to utilize the smallest electric motors to weight ratio of car...robust electrical motors would outpace the fastest (Formula 1 racer)...... since fuel cars are only 20% efficient while electric motors are 90% efficient by comparison.
i have an idea, an eletric motor is heavy on torque right? and a wankle rotary engine has all the power at the top end correct? so why not make a hybrid with the electric motor making the low end torque and the rotary engine making the high end power. That would give good power acorss the range and since rotary engines are small you can fit the electric motor right next to it.
All the hybrids on the market use NiMH (Nickel-Metal Hydride) batteries, which contain no heavy metals (so they're not hazardous waste, like the Pb-A batteries), and are easily recycled. Often they'll have labels on the packs themselves listing who to contact to recycle them, and often there's a nice cash bounty reward as well (Toyota's $200). The energy could come from a wind farm or solar energy, the sun is the real clean energy of the future.
I sweat if the Prius was more stylish!!! I would of already bought it in a heart beat but the designer didn't thought it for a young guy like me. Besides the looks god this Hybrid is on point!!!
@dagoberto23 think of all the stylish things you can afford with the money you save by driving it. it's the cash and not the flash that will help you win in the end.
@shieldsuma Oh I totally agree, but when u wanna go out with some ladies or out 2 the club believe me I wouldn't mind if it was a hybrid but an ugly hybrid "NO WAY". Maybe if I was 40 or older.
now toyota has a prius family

Think about humanity in the long run and the planet. The sun is the right energy we need.

@dagoberto23 LOL... take it from a 40 yr old... impressing folks with a "nice car" takes on a different meaning as you get older.
