a pianist is incomparable to a guitarist..... just 2 different instruments... with piano u have all five fingers on both hands and a piano is like music theory put on an instrument... allows the player to communicate what hes hearing in his head to u easier than on a guitar where u have 4 fingers and 1 pick
you don´t know what the hell you are talking about. Even if you have ten fingers not all of them play all the time. Music is composed of cords and single lines, you can do both with the guitar, besides with the right hand you have all five fingers at your disposal, so... the guitar is a superb instrument. I play both. I recomend you look at Andres Segobia, or Paco de Lucia, so you can see how far the guitar can reach.
I have seen Oberg on Youtube 3 or 4 years ago, bit of a gipsy in him. I am glad to run into him again, he is simply great, I was looking for Yorgui Loeffler who is similar inclined.
One world family of music fans. Any body knows Costa??
I'm not very fond of the drumming in this one personally. Don't get me wrong the drummer is good, but a piece like this requires a certain kind of groove. When he went into those complex rolls it took me out of the moment, he should have stayed in that pocket. I would just imagine Bernard Purdie in this one just holding that tight groove the piece needed. But overall very, very nice.
I'm using my ears so excuse me but the A section sounds like. Am x2 Dm x2 E13b9 x2 back to Am x2. This repeats and it goes to G#m with a raised 5 - Asus to A in the next bar - Dm7 (9th) - Gsus to Gb7#11 in one bar - Fmaj7 - E13b9 for 2 bars which leads back into the Am7 and so to say, 'The Cycle Is Complete'
@sanctiflymusicgroup Did you see? he is beyond our understanding :P! He is very skillful and accurate while playing. He is like the Steve Vai of jazz.
I am mute. Speechless. Splendidly creative.

I hear ya Vern... It's hard to find a pocket drummer now days.

Yeah.. Bernard Purdie would fit well here.. very well indeed. Steve Jordan could hold a nice more funky pocket here.. would fit great too

My dad showed me this video and Adreas Oberg is now one of my favorite guitarists. I can't wait till his website launches.
This song is incredible and I just love the main tune as well as the improvisations. Great group of musicians.
