How did you instantly KO the first mini-boss? All I saw was Kirby about to swallow him (which you can't do?) and Wheelie super jumping. What did you do?

insane. but the part he was flying with the bird power, is it possible to just fly over everything like that?

yes. the bird skill, DOWN+Y is be able to cancel by pushing B button.
