Thanks so much for this video! Just finished playing Daytona USA on a Logitech G27, together with the original arcade force feedback and thanks to Xpadder using the G27 H-shifter....man....I think I just jizzed in my pants out of enjoyment.
Hey what I may be asking maybe stupid but what exactly is difference visually from the original graphics of the game compared to what your experience with one of the GTX cards on this? It's a little hard for me to notice but is it the Hardware Tessellation or do you have the anti aliasing up really high? The models seem to be a little smoother or a little rounder...
Well the Nebula sega model 2 emulator doesnt really have advanced settings like the ones your describe, you can only configure resolution and controls pretty basic stuff. I could not have messed with anti-aliasing or anything else the emulator doesnt have any menu for configuring graphics. I am glad you liked my video :)
@TrenzorZ I've found that the bump to HD resolution does wonders for this game visually. It looks like an up-sampled Dreamcast game, like, say, Crazy Taxi in a higher resolution. As others have said, the resolution is the only thing that's technically enhanced. But the game's art design is so strong that it somehow looks better than the sum of its parts. The XBLA/PSN ports in HD should look great on any modern tv.
i think you are right about up scaling the resolution and this applies to other emulators too like some not all psone games. Same psone games have really good textures which you cant really see in the crappy native psone resolution
@AlienXenomorph You're right. One example that I can think of off the top of my head is Gran Turismo 2. I had a Dreamcast back in the day- my sister has it now. There was a PS1 emulator called Bleem! that not only bumped the resolution to the DC's native 640x480, but also gave the original textures a some filtering. Those original textures were so good that, even in their original resolution, they looked comparable to some first-gen DC textures with the filtering in place.
Hi, The purpose of this video is NOT to show my skills in Daytona USA but to show that an Arcade game like Daytona can be played on a computer with windows7 and Nebula Sega model 2 emulator.
The description is "Daytona USA Nebula Core2Quad Windows7" whats wrong with it ? - Probably i am not using the latest version i downloaded it long agov

that or the shading seems a little more accurate like when you turn to the car to a certain degree.
... They do appear to have more natural looking curves compared to this image here 20090209_daytona_usa_93_3.png
Looks pretty nice actually
