  • can u use normal sugar and vanilla extract instead of almond and confectioners sugar

  • @MissSeraphicCharm You could substitute a differe flavored extract instead of Almond extract but for this type of creamy icing you need to use confectioner's sugar. If you use granulated sugar, the texture will not be the same.

  • thank u finally a video that works

  • Can i use butter insed of shortening?

  • @LarusTuTos Yes! You can substitute butter for shortening in cookie recipes on a 1 to 1 ratio. Butter usually makes cookies crisper throughout while shortening makes a cookie that is crisp on the edges and chewy in the middle. Cookies made with butter also spread out more, if you need to counteract that, add an additional egg

  • directly from their website, these were the measured ingredients, enough for a dozen cookies...

    1 cup confectioners' sugar

    2 teaspoons milk

    2 teaspoons light corn syrup

    1/4 teaspoon almond extract

    assorted food coloring

  • @TBalpine Thanks!

  • Easy peasy, but what are the amounts?!

  • Can I Not Use Corn syrup?

  • Indy,

Thank you for the comment. Most of the videos that we create are "How-to" videos, rather than recipe videos. Our goal is to show techniques, tips, and tricks that you can then apply to any recipe you choose. I hope that helps!

    Thanks, again!

  • Indy, we probably have to have a debit card for the measurements

  • Looks easy, but why don't you give the measurements for the ingredients???
