ok this may be a big question but at least i would like to be pointed in a good direction. i want to learn. i had a few lessons with a friend of my mom's but stopped with him for certain reasons. i have the basics down. (like tabs and stuff) but have no technique. how did you learn is really my question. and any pointers you can give. also when you first start does it always feel like you really suck ass.

Another dead on cover - those guitarists used to have some of the best chops the 80s had to offer, imo, and they didn't hide it behind a bunch of effects like many at the time. Just guitar -amp - hard rock heaven.

Love the fact that you aren't resorting to using a clean channel and instead relying on your own dynamics and attack skill. I always quip that a clean channel is the most overrated and overused part of an amp. A good tube amp and the right skills provides much more dynamic excitement than a sterile, cold clean channel stomp. Glad to see a pro in action.

@Kelsie154 playing the guitar isn't hard, playing it really well is difficult. but if you or anyone else out there have the desire to play pick one up and learn some scales,chords and if you can't read music use TABS. a little time some effort and before you know it you too will be able to make noise that resembles the original tune. electric or acoustic either or.and if you like just play an electric without an amp.people around you will appreciate this.worst case scenario you sell the guitar
