@XZanayu Mad is an understatement. As far as I've read, it'll break off the relationship and he will end up exiled or executed in the worst. But he won't be king and he sure as heck won't marry your warden.
I decided that I'd rather have him 'cheat' on my warden with her consent rather than either of them dying or him ending up a drunk in some bar in Orlais.
I felt so pround seeing Alistair crowned and becoming queen. Plus in my mind an unhardened Alistair can only be a good king if he has a female Cousland by his side.
I always think "Good thing I first played DAO with a female Cousland" because it was very immersive and satisfying.
Rhaaa makes me to play as a Cousland again ! This game is so full of possibilities !

By you character becoming queen, how did you survive the battle with the archdemon without having Alistair having to bed Morrigan? I don't like Morrigan. Please reply!
@XZanayu Maybe you should keep Loghain : make him a Grey Warden, he takes the place of Alistair (no final fight with Alistair and all) then Loghain bed Morrigan, or sacrifies himself. But Alistair still is the king and you the queen. I'm not sure though.
Great, now all that was missing was the royal wedding mod and it would be just perfect, since some slackers from BioWare didn't had enough brain power to think of such a thing... without releasing it for 2$ maybe.
Do you have to be a noble to marry him? Becuase My Warden Amell isn't a noble and when I picked the option be his queen he just said that I wasn't noble. Is there a way I can be queen or...am I just screwed? /:
Although you've probably already found the answer to this question i'll post in case anyone has the same. You need to be a noble human to marry as his Queen. However, if he and Anora marry and you are romanced with him (along with him being "hardened" from his personal quest) you are still around as his lover.
@szjovane haven't you played the game? Morrigan gives you an option to perform a ritual that will let everyone live, in return she gets some demon/god baby.
@TheGscoutmom Morrigan actually explains that the baby won't die b/c of the ritual, and that it will absorb the archdemon's essence and become an old god.
i am so glad i saw this i just made a human nobel and was about to go for this, this isnt worth all the hours it takes to get there, if you could add that wedding mod for the pc then it would be worth it but sadly you cant :(
@SaberXKnight1 Yes :-) You have the option to choose between your own character, or a pre-made history for an Orlesian (if i remember correctly) warden-commander. Of course, if your character died in Origins, this is your only option. The pre-made character starts off with some sweet gear, though, so no worries :)

@XxTylerXxz no. to save both of you? you would have to have alistair umm...mate with morrigan to deal with a god baby. or if your a male you could lay with her. and if you have hardened alistair (female) he will break up with you after landsmeet no matter your cries but you can convince to be a mistress. he has to be unhardened, you would have to be female noble to marry him. or you can still marry kinda royalty if you download ser gilmore and mate with him, and he proposes after landsmeet
@gorillazgal a real story that made sense, with an over-arching villain/threat, characters who's stories weren't just cliched, J-RPG-esque melodrama, and a main character that was infinitely more personal. they need to bring the "Origins" back into dragon age in DA3. and they need to take their damn time with it, not rush it out in a less than a year and a half.
It is possible to make both your character and Alistair live. When Morrigan talks to you about her 'plan' accept it and that's it. If you accepted Morrigans request with having the baby, then you need her when you fight the Archdemon.
For those of you asking for the savegame file, there is a nifty new mod that creates a save game file to import into DA2 There is some bugginess with some of the other origins but the Queen Cousland import appears to work correctly!

@spngrl101 hi, sorry, but if you don't mind I'd like to answer your question. To get zevran to like you, you need to give him Dalish gloves, found in a locked chest near the abandoned campsite [where monsters ambush you], in the Forest near the Dalish camp. Next you have him tell you how he became an assassin, back at the camp. Than, you agree to hear one of his adventures as an assassin. Than, convince him you'll keep his company after you defeat the dark spawn. Finally, you 'woo' him.
@spngrl101 To make this work, when you leave the camp, you take zevran and any party members your not in a relationship with. When your outside the camp, talk to him, and say there is nothing going on between you and Alistar. Than, go back to the camp, and do the same with Alistar. Leave Zevran in camp, and tell Alistar on your journeys that there is nothing between you and Zevran. This is how you get them both to romance you, thus earning double achievement. Remember, keep them seperate.
@Chevalie12 I absolutely don't understand why it doesn't work. When I copy the link from my history it works. When I replace the dots with * , remove the ht tp part and change it back to as it was before, the link doesnt work, despite being 100% the same.

I did a human noble female playthrough and Allister dumped her once he agreed to become king. Because of the Grey Warden "taint". He needed someone untainted to have children with.
I wonder what was different to get to this ending.
You don't need to kill Loghain yourself. I never did. Alistair always took the final blow & we still married. If you let Loghain live, Alistair will leave the party & become King without you. As for the Landsmeet, you don't need Anora's vote but you need the votes of all the other possible nobles & then a fight will break out. It's easier to convince Alistair to marry Anora, then challenge Loghain, then Anora will be ousted if you choose the Persuade option to marry Alistair.
First time I finished this game i wanted to see what would happen if i went through the doors completely in my characters underwear so i removed his armor and weapons and streaked down the hall to the door and was much disappointed when there was no cut scene after leaving the throne room.
I have a human female noble. How do I make her Queen without her or Alistair sacrificing themselves? By sparing Logain? Won't that piss off Alistair to where he leaves?
@valleyheroine you need to have high persuasion skill to convince alistair to sleep with morrigan (she will explain why that is so lol) before the final battle. and you have to kill loghain yourself, don't let alistair execute him in anger.
I'm completing this ending right now, and just waiting to see how it affects DA 2. This works out short term for my character, but Anora was probably right when she stated before that this would be seen by the nobles as placing the Grey Warden's interests above Ferelden's interest. And she was just talking about Alistair being made king, not two Wardens being placed on the thrones. But we'll see.
Um, the fucking game crashed in the middle of my ending. Im not sure whether or not my character married alistair..he broke up with my char :[.. but for no good reason

Yes it is definitely worth getting.It is a fabulous game. The conversations and the story alone is worth the price. The gameplay is great .I played a rogue /bard/assassin did my poisons and I was very happy with the game.
@FatherofVulcanLogic You cannot roam after you are done with Origins, but there are DLC's and an expansion pack to keep you entertained, add the fact the game KEEPS drawing you back in to replay it because there are SEVERAL ways it can end ultimately, I never had trouble deciding if Dragon Age was worth it or not after buying and playing it.

@zhijn they don't really explain it. In fact you end up with a boatload of other titles but not Queen. Since Anora is alive (and imprisoned) your warden is technically the princess-consort. You aren't referred to by this title either. None of the NPCs acknowledge that you are married to the King. Alistair does acknowledge your marriage with him at least, so thats something.

No, whether or not you survive does not depend on your origin.
Yes, only the human noble (female, of course) marries Alistair.
I've heard about continuing the romance with him (without marrying him) as a mage or elf or dwarf, if you do his personal mission in a certain way (I didn't test this last statement myself, though).
If you are not a human noble just make Anora Queen and you get to keep Alistair and you can even stay in Denerim and drive her potty by carrying on . She will be sole monarch and Alistair will be a warden. So you get to keep him to yourself which was what I did. He will leave later on for the other warden keep but you can always follow .At least he will not be sleeping with Anora.
@Docsuu95 If you harden Alistair during his sidequest, and then pass a really hard persuasion check, you can convince him to take you as his mistress, because the Human Nobility won't accept an Elf or Dwarf as a queen. D=
I like to pretend that my Mage Elf stepped aside for his ease of mind and her own hope of having children with another Elf, maybe from the Denerim Alienage, and she remains at her former love's side as an adviser.

@ElegantAndPoised Indeed, he is Fergus Cousland. But you only know about him before if you play as human noble (cause in that case he is your brother). That was my experience in this masterpiece.
Too bad him officially marrying an elf is too "scandalous" but playing a human woman in my opinion is too boring. I'll just pretend we get married anyway. XD
What happens if your a Elf? Mine is with Alistair and we already had a small convo about what happens when he becomes King. And is Origins the only DA out? I have seen the DA2 trailers but is there anything out besides Origins?
@holyfire4 unfortunately no. However, if Alistair is hardened in his companion quest you can choose an option to become his mistress when talking to him after the Blight is ended.
alright, i don't mean to seem like a noob, haha, but how'd you get this ending? By sacrificing Loghain? I thought that if you let Loghain live, Alistair leaves you. I'm so confused.
@CourtneyKidd1 If I remember correctly you need to be a human noble, get Alistair to sleep with Morrigan (that way you'll both live), and have a relationship with Alistair.
@CourtneyKidd1 from what I know of this game, unless Alistair is set to marry Anora he will leave the Grey Wardens and Ferelden if you spare Loghain. So it seems that Loghain was executed and Morrigan's ritual was performed on Alistair. Hope this helps

@ANBUKeybladeMaster the only class that can marry Alisteir in the game is Human Noble Warrior/Rouge. he dumps you if you make him king and you aren't that class. sad i know. he blames it on the taint but Fereldon is quite racist. D:<
BUT! if you wanna end with him in the end being anything beside human noble you make anora queen and do the ritual. : )

@Chevalie12 I absolutely don't understand why it doesn't work. When I copy the link from my history it works. When I replace the dots with * , remove the ht tp part and change it back to as it was before, the link doesnt work, despite being 100% the same.

I did a human noble female playthrough and Allister dumped her once he agreed to become king. Because of the Grey Warden "taint". He needed someone untainted to have children with.
I wonder what was different to get to this ending.

You don't need to kill Loghain yourself. I never did. Alistair always took the final blow & we still married. If you let Loghain live, Alistair will leave the party & become King without you. As for the Landsmeet, you don't need Anora's vote but you need the votes of all the other possible nobles & then a fight will break out. It's easier to convince Alistair to marry Anora, then challenge Loghain, then Anora will be ousted if you choose the Persuade option to marry Alistair.

First time I finished this game i wanted to see what would happen if i went through the doors completely in my characters underwear so i removed his armor and weapons and streaked down the hall to the door and was much disappointed when there was no cut scene after leaving the throne room.

@valleyheroine you need to have high persuasion skill to convince alistair to sleep with morrigan (she will explain why that is so lol) before the final battle. and you have to kill loghain yourself, don't let alistair execute him in anger.

I'm completing this ending right now, and just waiting to see how it affects DA 2. This works out short term for my character, but Anora was probably right when she stated before that this would be seen by the nobles as placing the Grey Warden's interests above Ferelden's interest. And she was just talking about Alistair being made king, not two Wardens being placed on the thrones. But we'll see.

To get this ending dont you have to agree to Morrigan's ritual? I think thats how you get it.

Yes it is definitely worth getting.It is a fabulous game. The conversations and the story alone is worth the price. The gameplay is great .I played a rogue /bard/assassin did my poisons and I was very happy with the game.

@FatherofVulcanLogic You cannot roam after you are done with Origins, but there are DLC's and an expansion pack to keep you entertained, add the fact the game KEEPS drawing you back in to replay it because there are SEVERAL ways it can end ultimately, I never had trouble deciding if Dragon Age was worth it or not after buying and playing it.

@zhijn they don't really explain it. In fact you end up with a boatload of other titles but not Queen. Since Anora is alive (and imprisoned) your warden is technically the princess-consort. You aren't referred to by this title either. None of the NPCs acknowledge that you are married to the King. Alistair does acknowledge your marriage with him at least, so thats something.

No, whether or not you survive does not depend on your origin.
Yes, only the human noble (female, of course) marries Alistair.
I've heard about continuing the romance with him (without marrying him) as a mage or elf or dwarf, if you do his personal mission in a certain way (I didn't test this last statement myself, though).

If you are not a human noble just make Anora Queen and you get to keep Alistair and you can even stay in Denerim and drive her potty by carrying on . She will be sole monarch and Alistair will be a warden. So you get to keep him to yourself which was what I did. He will leave later on for the other warden keep but you can always follow .At least he will not be sleeping with Anora.

@Docsuu95 If you harden Alistair during his sidequest, and then pass a really hard persuasion check, you can convince him to take you as his mistress, because the Human Nobility won't accept an Elf or Dwarf as a queen. D=
I like to pretend that my Mage Elf stepped aside for his ease of mind and her own hope of having children with another Elf, maybe from the Denerim Alienage, and she remains at her former love's side as an adviser.

@ElegantAndPoised Indeed, he is Fergus Cousland. But you only know about him before if you play as human noble (cause in that case he is your brother). That was my experience in this masterpiece.

@holyfire4 unfortunately no. However, if Alistair is hardened in his companion quest you can choose an option to become his mistress when talking to him after the Blight is ended.

@CourtneyKidd1 If I remember correctly you need to be a human noble, get Alistair to sleep with Morrigan (that way you'll both live), and have a relationship with Alistair.

@CourtneyKidd1 from what I know of this game, unless Alistair is set to marry Anora he will leave the Grey Wardens and Ferelden if you spare Loghain. So it seems that Loghain was executed and Morrigan's ritual was performed on Alistair. Hope this helps

@ANBUKeybladeMaster the only class that can marry Alisteir in the game is Human Noble Warrior/Rouge. he dumps you if you make him king and you aren't that class. sad i know. he blames it on the taint but Fereldon is quite racist. D:<
BUT! if you wanna end with him in the end being anything beside human noble you make anora queen and do the ritual. : )
