Yay Casting Crowns!! WOOOOOOOOOOOO CHRIS TOMLIN!!! My favorite singer!! What???? Toby Mac??? Awww....oh, well at least he's humble and honest..but still I think Chris Tomlin or Casting Crowns should have one :) But that's just me they happen to be my FAVORITE singer and favorite band. Great job Toby! I think Casting Crowns won this year. Nice seeing Mark Lowry and Sandi Patty up there!!

That's cool that Toby can look outside inside himself and see how EXTREMELY important it is to be surrounded with people that share the same goal! To anyone calling this Awards Show worldly apparently watches way too many of them. For many Christian artists, if they're as strong in their faith for God as they claim, they'll acknowledge the fact that any awards they receive on Earth are nothing compared to what awaits them in Heaven. I mean for real, it's not like they can trade them in for a ton of cash.

Is it right for the Doves to acknowledge just anyone who sings songs that sound Christian to some people? Exactly when did the line between the world and us get so blurry?

You act like this is the first Dove Awards show to award a young singer or group that appeals to a younger generation the Artist of the Year Award. TobyMac won 3 Dove Awards in 1996 with DC Talk for the group's album Jesus Freak. And it's not worldly, as long as the artists are keeping God first in their life, then why should the accolades they receive be a big deal to you?

@t4soshine well it is b'cos we christian drew the line so clearly that non-christian doesn't like us at all.. and i mean "at all".. so that is the reason why we are not able to reach out to them.. hip-hop singers, soft rock singers uses their songs to praise God and draw people closer to Him.. non-christians sometimes are attracted to christianity b'cos they were amazed and luv modern christian music.. well time have changed..15 yrs ago people were telling rock music was satanic..now it is not..

It is funny. It seemed the Doves needed a Mark and Sandi Show. Usually Mark is associated with Kathy Troccoli, but at the Doves, it seems Kathy is associated presenting Doves (1993, 1999) with a Fox sportscaster.

That was a great acceptance speech.

The 'I Love To Tell The Story' CD is my favorite! I can hear and feel the love of God all through it! God meant for Mark and Paul to win the award - He cares about the little things in our life.

If you haven't heard the CD, you should buy it and listen. You won't be disappointed!

Sandi is the best. No offense to Mark Lowery, but Sandi should have won this award. Her CD was superior in quality, production to Marks. Maybe next year, hear her new CD will be awesome!
