@Caneric90 Stimmt, Führen ist seit 2008 nicht mehr legal. Ob das irgendeinen Unterschied macht bezweifle ich aber. Immerhin dürfen bis 12 cm lange feststehende Messer weiter legal geführt werden. Dann nehmen die Kriminellen eben solche Teile mit.

thats is awesome because you shoot them and the knives are already angled toward them so if they're running at you they run into the blade themselves, little work on your part.

The only improvement of this design what i could think of would be a projectile dispenser below the knives. A magnetized tube, a spring mechanism or sth that actually works ^^.
On the other hand, how many shots can you deliver and still call it an act of self defense?

@JoergSprave: Du darfst sie aber nicht führen (abgesehen von Bayern, wo die Polizei es als "Brauchstumpflege" auslegt, darf man ja noch nicht mal normale Einhandmesser führen), was deine Schleuder als Defensiv-Waffe (die man ja i.d. R. am Körper trägt -> führt) denkbar ungeeignet macht.
Deine Schleuder ist also ein cooles Design, aber für echte "Self defense" nicht zu gebrauchen.
@SaarVidar Die Springmesser sind legal, sie springen von der Seite nach vorne d.h. man kann sich nicht verletzen. Ilegal sind diejenigen die ganz eingezogen sind und nach vorne springen mit der Spitze voran :)
I love that slingshot. It's my favorite that i've seen. It's so versatile. I would suggest one thing. Maybe turn the pepperspray bottle so that it's easier to press with your thumb? It seems like it's at an unnatural angle?

Really nice design! However knives are really dangerous to use on the street. How about exchanging the stock for a telescopic baton for an example where the tear-gas is placed. The slingshot you got there nevertheless looks awesome, just as small idea I got from watching the video.

99% of you probably won't even read this..but I'm nearly 17 and I am trying my best to become a horse. On the 24th of December I am travelling to the wide open fields of Nevada to hopefully learn from the best horses. Being a horse means a lot to me.

@hyperkid86 I am not a target shooter, I don't aim. It's all done by practice and instinct, not much technique to film. But I usually hit my target, with serious force.

I wonder if it is possible and effective to create a U-shaped trigger mechanism so that both knife blades could be opened simultaneously from just under the pepper-spray grip - this would allow the slingshot to be tilted down when the blades come out. This is a fun idea but if you misfire not only do you have a broken, mangled hand, you're also engulfed in an explosion of pepper spray.
I think the safety margin afforded by having a crossbar between your hand and the fork is worth far more than any advantage the integrated canister gives you.

I made a sling with synthetic fiber and is a powerful weapon.
Slings and slingshots can be underestimated but, are no toys.

99% of you probably won't even read this..but I'm nearly 17 and I am trying my best to become a horse. On the 24th of December I am travelling to the wide open fields of Nevada to hopefully learn from the best horses. Being a horse means a lot to me.
I've just started my training. I have just nailed horseshoes to my feet (really hurts) and shaved my hair into a horse mane. It would mean the world to me if you supported me and helped me complete my ambition.

i wouldn't want to shoot it when the knikes are up. only because i would be afraid that when the bands snap back they could get cut, or nicked, by the knifes. this would obviously compromise or even break the bands.

I wonder if it is possible and effective to create a U-shaped trigger mechanism so that both knife blades could be opened simultaneously from just under the pepper-spray grip - this would allow the slingshot to be tilted down when the blades come out. This is a fun idea but if you misfire not only do you have a broken, mangled hand, you're also engulfed in an explosion of pepper spray.
I think the safety margin afforded by having a crossbar between your hand and the fork is worth far more than any advantage the integrated canister gives you.
I love your inventions. Please retire this one so you won't be too badly injured to produce any more.

That's cool. It's true that an inconvenient of the slingshot as a self defense tool is that once the guy is on you, there is nothing much you can do, so i like the fact you added the spray.
