i find setting an MP3 for txt message tone is useless because it only lasts 4 seconds (not even). I dislike this phone with a passion, although i do like that it is indestructible lol.

how do u get music? A: if u have Itunes go to Itunes. Then go to My Stuff on the pantech. then go to tools and utilities. Then go to voice memo. then click that and record the song from Itunes. When its done go to Audio. And click My Voice. select the song u want and hit Select as Ringtone.

ok for your question i would recommend the phone if your into texting.You can have the phone ring when theres a call and have it vibrate when theres a text when its on normal.All you have to do it go to settings,profiles,make it be on normal then click options,go down to message alert type,click options,customize then vibration & melody.if any promise contact me again.
