I'm gonna get thumbed down to hell for this but screw it.

I appreciate that you kept your final judgement until after L4D2 came out because you can NOT judge it on the demo. The demo only showcased new weapons, better graphics, and new infected. If that was all to L4D2 then, yes, it should be an expansion pack.

But the thing is, it isn't.

Although I still think it is overpriced, from what I've seen I highly doubt all of it could be an expansion pack. I'll admit, I don't have it but still...

yeah only game i see worth buying to me with in a years time is starcraft 2.

they dont release a game til they feel its ready not hurry for a set date. which then ends up being crappy product. but thats just my opinion til then ill stick to the good old classics.

Too bad you didn't get more out of L4D OTG, I've gotten plenty of play out of it myself. And the L4D2 4 pack brings the price down to about $30, so I can't say I agree with the expansion pack bit.

The price gouging is one of the main reasons I've held off on jumping head-first into this gen of gaming; tbh I've played most of the next-gen hits on my buddy's system, but w/ SSFIV, BB expansion and GT5 on the way I'm getting a PS3 anyway. But you're right Lliam; publishers are treating their games like supercars and a lot of them are gonna realize they've got Fiestas, not Ferraris, on their hands sooner or later.

i think the borderlands expansion is a good example of how to do it--from what i've heard it's ~8-10 hrs of new game for about $10-15. coming out in a couple weeks, can't wait. l4d2 charging full price is plain ridiculous. so yeah, agreed. like the let's cast idea, sweet.

i really agree with the l4d2 that it should be an expansion, with l4d 1 they promised new enemies and content which they still to this day have not delivered other than survival mode with isnt that fantastic. not to mention im getting a jipped version of censored l4d 2 which is outrageous that it has worse gore than l4d 1

Torchlight is great and it's priced very cheap when they could charge much more for what they are delivering.

I have found that, for the most part, that the one game company that hasn't ripped us off completely, has to be Insomniac. For example, the new R&C game that just came out was $10 cheaper than all the other new releases at the store! They'll definately sell more units than a few of these other new releases. (Well...That's just my opinion :3)

Sadly, that doesn't seem to be the case. From what I've seen and heard, R&C hasn't stood up to the other big name games in terms of sales. It really does worry me that Insomniac, who always puts so much work and love in their games, might have to follow other developers way of doing things just to make a profit.

Yeah, I have to say I agree with Lliam. You know Valve is trying to pull a fast one when they're trying to tap into the TF2 fanbase's love of hats by offering a TF2 hat to those who pre-order L4D2.

I agree with you 100% mate, MW2= overpriced and no dedicted servers is spitting on the average PC gamer. L4D2 is a tad overpriced, though I'm not too fussed about that since I'm getting the 4-pack with my friends which evens out at £20 each ;)

Objection, it is £15 price, then comes with £20 worth of DLC maps on a hard disc. And bungie said themselfs, their DLC would run a lot better on disc then just off the hard drive.

So really, you get £15 and all 4 DLC map packs for £5 each. So it comes out £35.

I went in to game yesterday and I tryed to trade in fifa 08 far cry 2 and NASCAR 09.

And the guy behind the couter said. 'For fifa 08 and far cry 2 we can only give you £1 for both and for NASCAR 09 £10'
