@nomainreason Huh? Outdated? Is look more important now? I'd buy for the simple fact that I would not have to go to gas station anymore for my daily beater. That would hurt the gas station, the owner, the delivery company, the spots broker, oil rig manufacturer, the tanker maufacturer, the country that produce the oil.... but... oh well, the payback is a b**ch.
@peterkim1999 You're right.. I wonder whatcha gonna do when the batteries stop working properly... like any laptop/cellphone batteries do after being used..
Free energy technology exists!But Elite controllers don't want ppl to be free from the costs of energy,Check this free energy magnet motor at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Be a part of the energy revolution!
@SladkaPritomnost why use nuclear things when we got the sun....and other things,but USA need to quit oil dont forget we are giving money to those terrorist states like saudi arabia and his yihad boys...
@athlonz2007, And Chevy has been working on the VOLT for like 3 years and it's still not on the market, although the media is raving about it... They are purposely delaying it.
@athlonz2007 Hey man I saw the Volt today . I was sooooooooo dissappointed . That car's size is comparable to honda civic and it seats only four !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! seating for four is such a downer !!!!!!!! Nissan leaf and Mitsubishi Imiev seats five !!!!! Also it will go only some 40 miles on pure electric . Gm dissappoints .

U.S. Motor Gasoline Consumption is 8,989,000 barrels/day
that is
374500 barrels per hour
1barrel = 1.700.000 Wh (or simply 1.7MWh)
that is 636GWh
One reactor (quite big) can produce 1GWh
that means that USA need to build up at least 636 new reactors to get a rid of dependency of oil.
That's not really cheap.

@FULANODETAL
Indeed Islamic states have 66% of global oil!
Everything is about EROEI (energy returned on energy invested).
Recent EROEI of oil of Middle East is 30 (out of Middle East 10-15). Nuclear power planets 40-70.
Solar EROEI is about 10-30 (Mediterranean sun condition).
Huge wind power plants are about 30-60.
Water power plants are about 10-200.
