  • All of them are so young... 18-20 years old, not older. I guess 35 was a time to retire those days :)

  • At :36 isnt Clara Bow..its Nancy Carroll

  • What's is the first song? Plz

  • Clara Bow was the "IT GIRL" right/ she had those Vamp eyes, the eye liner made it more hypnotic. Good times, racy gals. woo hoo. LOL. The music is BORING REPETITVE, with the birds, then goofy sax...over and over..enough already! IMHO

  • i think lady gaga looks a little like Clara Bow. i need to observe the others to keep comparing to look alike actresses and artists of today. you would be amazed! this is definitely very entertaining. it's great! thanks! ;)

  • How did you find all these images? This is great!

  • Princesse Tam Tam recent showed on TCM. She was perfect, she was stunning and as it was in french I must say her french was flawless.

  • Great to see Laura LaPlante included. She was a huge star of the 20s Nearly forgottetn now.

  • NOBODY had eyes like Clara Bow!

  • I'd love to have the music~

  • Thanks for these great candids especially of the It Girl. I have never seen the one of her hanging on the tree or perched upon the post. She had such incredible energy on screen, not more than a teenager...what a tragic life...so lovely and sweet yet scintillating...great book about her, Running Wild. The girls were individuals...all talented in their own ways. How can anyone think Laura La Plante would not be considered gorgeous today!

  • REMINDS ME OF BETTY BOOP :D

  • Are you serious? they drew their eyebrows on and none of them were even what would be considered pretty today, may the black one would but the other, jesus christ, they look like shit,,,

  • @VercingetorixXIII Why? Because they don't have more plastic in them than a Honda? Drawn eyebrows vs. the fake boobs, lipo, and nosejobs of today's Frankenstein monsters...

  • @VercingetorixXIII lets see what most celeberties of today look like without the surgery, expensive makeup, fitness trainers, expensive diet foods, pills, hair extensions and PHOTOSHOP AIRBRUSHING... mind you these gorgeous gals of the 20's also didnt have color photos..just black and white

  • love the flappers man

  • LOVE IT:P

This halloween im gona dress up like a Flapper dancer:)

I will def. make a video so you guys can see how it turned out:)

  • Really interesting video - my favourite is Louise Brooks, she was so beautiful and charismatic, and I love how she stood up for herself and went against the grain, and she could actually act!

  • What I admire about Ms Baker was not only was she a strong woman but she was socially aware and not only stood up for women's right but also for "Black" rights. A very brave woman and one to remember 4ever. Love the video.

    Thanx 4 postng.

  • Thankyou, yes Josephine is one of my favourite flappers- she was kind, caring, funny, beautiful and she made a difference. Its surprising some people I talk to, they've heard of clara, louise and olive but not josephine, find it amazing they don't know...her being such an inspiration xxx

  • @prettyparisian Josephine had the balls to stand up to Walter Winchell at a time when he was second only to Louis B. Mayer as the most powerful man in Hollywood. (And New York for that matter.) She along with Lucille Ball helped bring that bastard down.

  • @prettyparisian Actually Josephine Baker is the ONLY one that I have ever heard of. Who are these other women?

  • Very nice; interesting collection of photos. Please see Siren's of The Roaring 20's. Many of the same subjects but different treatment. You may enjoy!

  • Stunning......Loved it.

And the music was fab..What is it?

  • :D Thankyou sweetheart, The songs in order are...

Dancing Shadows- Paul Whiteman & his Orchestra

Bye Bye Blackbird- George Olsen & his Orchestra

Thanks again and hope that helps xxx

  • Is this all one person???How is that at 0:56

  • No, it's a series of famous flappers, I've separated them with title slides (their names are listed in the info box). At 0.56, that is Clara Bow :D xx

  • eyes are talking :)..I love the daring make up they are wearing.. its another signature of that era..haha boxing with those shoes.. :)) I love their humor as well..class and sexyness..well thats how a smart woman should be..hugs..loved your videos..

  • Yes, I love the makeup too. Lol Clara Bow in those big shoes =) they are very funny I think thats what people find most pleasant about them- beautiful and silly. thanks for watching, you're a star. =) x
