I remember when when it took 2 bars to get from a D to a G chord. Keep practicing and don't let the haters get you down. The best advice i ever got was that playing slow and well is more productive than fast and sloppy. Start playing something at the speed you can change chords cleanly; slowly speed up til you get to the proper speed and you will always be able to play that song with a good crisp clean sound.
