Great video. I didn't learn anything from it because I've been following all these concepts since forever, but people who are just starting out should have this video slammed in their face until they get it right. I liked your bit about update videos, too. You mentioned pretty much my exact reasoning for having my After Action Review videos the way they are.
But if people do an exceptional live commentary, I'll be impressed by it. Most are horrible. (It's hard though, I'm still getting the hang of it, haha)
Haha, I get about 1-3 per day. It's insane. I used to watch them all, but now if they don't give me a reason to watch, I won't watch. For me this means one of two things. Option 1. If you take the time to leave constructive, thought out criticism for me, I'll return the favor. Option 2: If you don't spam, but actually write out, in the message, why I would enjoy or should watch (plus no asking me to sub, favorite, etc.)
I 100% agree people pick horrible vids to be first impressions
@MassNERDerer agreed. I found the idea of a video form response to be amusing and so made this. Don't know if it's me but even people are are known for live commentary aren't very interesting for me. I know that I've never watched a live com or an update video and thought, damn I need to watch more of this channel.
@MrTimeItself Lol, never saw an update video to impress me, (good if you have been following the channel and want to know more, horrible to share to bring in new followers), and live comms are VERY far and few between that impress, but I, and some others, have tried to bring in topics to live comms (not live team comms, but just the producer talking). So explaining tactics, why you are doing what, really getting into a commentary, but showing the response to in game developments
