They should have never called this devil may cry. Some characters elevate a good game into a great one. kratos for GOW and master chief for halo are prime examples. Dante did the same for dmc 1-4 so if you change most everything about him save for his name just make a new franchise. Bottom line good looking game, weak main character.

DMC2 Dante is my favorite. he aint a smugg ass he just flat out kills and dosent waist time. ive been sick of Dante design since DMC3. Virgil was awesome. DMC 4 came out and atfirst all i wanted to play as was dante. now. Dante was boring, Nero was refreshing. and now the dramtic changes to dante. Love it thus far. its gonna give us the setting and game mechanics we like but with a new desgns and new moves all together instead of rehashing. face it. Ifrit, Beowolf and Gilgamesh were the same.
