It has been over half a year, so even in the face of that, I cannot decry his policies? So even though he said, "Pass my stimulus bill or else unemployment will hit 8% (back when it was 6) so we passed the plan. Lo and behold, unemployment is bound to hit 10%.

I can care less for the "Obama" of this video. The audio clips used (even if from Obama) make a point, and if you would just listen to it you would realize that. This song makes me feel American, because it has pride written into all the notes of it. If it was just some random person saying those same words, what would it mean to you? Listen to this, really listen. Miri Ben-Ari is a genius for making this. Obama just happens to have a good direction. Be proud and respectful, or shut up.

You're right, but that's why I think talented artists should stay out of politics. Then we could just talk about their music, art, etc. But once they make political, religious, etc. statements, then it is proper to discuss their views. Just because they are talented artist doesn't give them a pass to push their personal views onto us without us also having a say in it. I actually don't know that much about the Netherlands and while you may have more views about America(with its deep and open history) I don't think you know as much about it as you think. My ancestors left Sweden and Hungary to settle in America. Also, comparing a tiny, insignificant(not meant as rude, but being truthful) country such as Netherlands to the complex and vast America is like apples and oranges. But I'd love to visit your country sometime cuz the pics of it are beautiful.

Please don't belittle the great accomplishments and assistance that America has done for the world by looking at some of its less than admirable incidents. Anyway, Miri is still a great violinist( I think we can agree to that), I just wish she hadn't thrown her hat into America's political arena. I'm sure you'd feel the same if she had done that for some politician you dislike in your country. Rock on buddy. By the way, I just got back from a week in Weiser, Idaho for the old time Fiddlers Festival.
