  • Le Ronde des Lutins=Futurama Robot Devil challenge music!

  • He was fun!

  • ...I want to get this documentary after listening to it for 30 seconds.

  • The song at 0:27 is Le Ronde Des Lutins

  • YOU KNOW GOOD AND DAMN WELL THAT Mr. PERLMAN SMOKED SOME GRASS WHEN HE WAS THIS AGE - LOOK AT THAT FRO!

    LMAO!

BUT IT SURE DIDN'T HURT HIS PLAYING, PLAY ON MASTER PERLMAN!

  • what the piece called that starts at 0:27

  • @cihad2003 Le Ronde Des Lutins - Bazzini

  • @cihad2003 Le Ronde des Lutins by Bazzini (Dance of the Goblins is the loose English translation).

  • wtf !! his "messed up" version sounds better than my best version!!

  • God moves his fingers, that's all there is to it.

  • It cuts out at the best bit! Anyone got a link to the whole intro? Where he does the finger tapping after the credits?

  • Even if you didn't love Perlman as a violinist (which would already be very strange) you'd still have to love the guy as a person.

  • Holy crap. It takes THAT amount of talent to make even what is supposed to be a "messed up" thing to sound as great as this one sounds. What an amazing performer.

  • 4 people didn't play every note.....

  • I Don't Played Every Note :( hahaha

  • not only is he freaking amazing but he's a great guy too!

  • whats the song at 0:26?

  • @Aaron128920 it's le ronde des lutins of Antonio Bazzini

  • @Aaron128920 Perlman in Russia- Bazzini

  • what is the song started at 0:07?

  • @cklanson Paganini Caprice Number 5.

  • he is a genius

  • I love Itzhak, what a charismatic and humorous virtuoso.

  • I would appreciate if Mr Perlman would rearrange and remake Paganini's 24 capriccios on DVDs to learn all the secrets of such wonderful musics he made up ! maybe i'm dreaming cause he recorded capriccios in 1972, in Abbey Roads studio !

  • I am humbled by this man in every possible way.

  • I am looking at the response to my note where I said Perlman was a mensch...and some ogre, who can't possibly play the fiddle, wrote back saying "[W]hat a k.k."..

You shoud be ashamed.and if you DO play fiddle, I hope you get carpal tunnel syndrome!

  • 0:23-0:24: "Plus These Notes!"

  • what is the last music on 0:28

  • What a mensch!

  • @outoftunefiddler What a Kike!

  • what can one say... he's simply the best :-)

  • His speed is amazing.

  • Love the sweaty armpits

  • what's the song at the end?

  • @chidori8291 The song at the end is La Ronde Des Lutins, by Bazzini

  • @chidori8291 ronde des luttins antonio bazzini or something like that.. it souns great on violin, but trust me it sounds better in flute

  • @chidori8291 i think its round of the goblins by Bazzini

  • Dorothy DeLay, his teacher, is in the background. Perlman was giving a masterclass at Aspen where Miss DeLay had setup shop. The student he's coaching here is Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg. The clip dates from the mid '70s, maybe even as late as '77. He also coached Cho Liang-Lin that afternoon.

  • hahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mr.Perlman, maybe one of the best violin virtuosos of our times...what a nice man ! Everybody likes him !

  • Gah, Perlman is sooo funny

  • Somebody please put the rest of this awesome documentary up on Youtube.

  • @singinginachurch Agree!!

  • @strickly4myninjas WOW you are one lucky person!!!

  • @strickly4myninjas I wondered why he limps onto stage....but whatever the reason..he overcame it with music...I tell you music is good...It got me through sooooo much..I cannot begin to tell you..for me it's guitar..but now I am beginning violin..only just beginning and so slooww but using my ear as I practice the scales..thank goodness for ear training.--Joni

  • @joniguitar9 Polio..

  • @strickly4myninjas lucky!! Do you play the violin too?

  • @strickly4myninjas how lucky you are : )

it would be a great honor to meet mister Perlman

  • @strickly4myninjas my violin teacher knew him, and after a concert, took me backstage to meet him. and i was blown away by Mr. Perlman telling me, ' stop calling me Mister, just call me Itzy, all my friends do'. And the next concert, when we went backstage again, and i respectfully called him MrPerlman, he kind of shook my arm and said, 'I told you, my friends call me Itzy, and you are my friend, arent you?'

i still cant get over that! ^_^ That was back in my teens.

  • this is exactly why he's my favorite violinist- great and also humorous!

  • I love him:)
