Coconut oil is a great oil to replace canola and other unsaturated oils. The cholesterol-heart disease connection has never been proven.

This doctor is making coconut oil sound suspiciously like snake oil - good for whateva ails ya.
Recently the price of coconut oil has trebled in Israel as a result of all this hype.
The reality is: it is still hard at 35 Centigrade and you don't want that in your body.
It's great, however, with a few drops of lavender oil for split ends - and that's what I use it for - hair conditioner and skin softener.

coconut oil is liquid at 24°C, your oil must be processed or hydrogenated. Buy some virgin coconut oil and it will not stay solid at 35°C

Thank you. The jar says that it's virgin and unprocessed, but I had a feeling it was just a bit too hard.
