THANK. YOU. Finally you guys reviewed Action Comics since it was by far the best issue that week it came out and you guys totally skipped it, ah well. Ive always been a fan of Supes in film and animation but never been a big reader but since Geoff Johns got on board its become my favorite title, its awesome!
I haven't read Amazing Spider-girl because it didn't catch my interest but from what you guys say it's really good so maybe I'll try it out. Action Comics looks like a great comic something I'll definitely pick up. I agree with Pete about the covers. It can be really annoying when something really cool will be on the cover and then it won't be in the book.
I'm of mixed feelings regarding this topic. The publisher can't sell the book without an eye-catching cover, but the average reader won't buy future issues of a book if he's habitually misled by a catchy cover that has nothing to do with the story. I'm a story-over-art guy so I'll lean toward the consistent-cover choice.
I think covers should at least have something to do with what's inside. Don't picture the Hulk fighting dinosaurs on the cover if there are no dinosaurs in the issue.
I totally agree about "Locke & Key" Pete, this series kicks some serious butt. I put off reading it until I had the 1st three issues because I was busy and when I started reading I couldn't put it down. It can be very morbid but thats part of the charm. It gives you heroes worth rooting for without them having super powers. I'm pretty sure this kid writing it is Stephen Kings son and you can tell by reading it.
Pete never disappoints in disappointing me. Nother good review guys. With covers you cant just draw a dead infant on a Power Pack cover it has to be some what reminiscent to whats inside and similar art.
this show is good because the guys don't take it too seriously.

Lois looked great in that issue. I wasn't into the real short hair, kinda butch look they had going with her. She looked like Lois Lane in this one.

I'd like to know what Pete thinks about the Punisher covers that Tim Bradstreet draws.
IMO, those are the highlight of the comic.
