  • Freebird? Freebird? Why the fuck are they shouting freebird? How about "White Walls!" or "Selkies!" or "Obfuscation!" or basically any other btbam song? Cause they beat the shit out of freebird.

  • i wish i lost my virginity listening to this song haha

  • 1:48 Listen closely, some chick says" What the fuck you looking at bitch!"

    XD

  • She says "What the fuck you looking at Sanborn" a buddy of mine that was standing next to me.

  • i play a 5 string bass. my ultimate goal is to learn that shit!

i can so far only do Informal Gluttony. that song is a win too.

  • this solo is so amazing

bass guitars can be so beautiful if you know what you're doing

  • beautiful

  • He's awesome

  • Dan Briggs is a freakin badass bass player! He is such an inspiration to me!

  • Dude, i agree, Hes one of my favorite bass players next to Arif of Protest the Hero

  • Yes, but Arif's sound isn't as pronounced in Protest The Hero's songs. Between The Buried and Me has a very bassy sound to them a lot of the time.

  • Yea, i kno. But if you listen to their new stuff you can hear his bass taps pretty clearly

  • Yes, But I feel Kezia was worlds better than Fortress. Fortress they are just sounding too much like everything else now. Less bass, more screams. Lots of talent, but no fun for me.

  • agreed

  • man i love the bass player

  • Did you ever get the closer, Mordecai? you catching him announcing it and the roar of fans in happiness would be gold. I flipped out when he screamed out "Mordecai"

    that was a good night.

  • I stopped recording at that point - just wanted to enjoy it. There's a million videos of that song...

  • Why does it always seem like Paul is playing rediculously too fast when he plays the beginning of this song?

  • That's just part of his improvisation. Keeps things interesting.

  • it doesnt seem that much faster really..but its normal for bands to play faster live

  • because Paul is god, and god can do anything he wants.

  • Hmmmm... I've found your explanation to be the best yet, so I agree. Thanks for pointing that out.

  • He's not really playing the song faster, he's just changing the rhythm of the notes. Faster notes with more rest until the next set. Improv, as previously mentioned.

  • Ok dude. At 1:12 he IS playing that part much faster. That's what I was talking about. I don't give a damn what anybody else says, that part is played a bit slower on the album. Haha.

  • paul always plays this part this way live. its just a part of paul's stage show. you'll notice that blake has a computer to his left, the last two times ive seen BTBAM live blake has had a notebook opened during there set. i'm guessing this is more than just so he can play call of duty during the soft parts. they play with a backing track, so im guessing they play to a pre-programed click track live..or else any slight variation in tempo will throw the whole band off from the backing track.

  • simply beautiful...

  • where are the other songs at?

  • You Serious? Look at my channel. I can only post one more Prequel to the Sequel track 6 - the rest are over ten minutes. I don't want to cut those songs in half.

  • yea....i was talking about the other ones that u dont want to cut in half.

  • could you some how send me the rest of the set or something?

  • Sorry man. I sent the raw video to them. If they want it out there then they can distribute it legally. I have way to much respect for them to give out all their footage at high quality.
