Yes, but Arif's sound isn't as pronounced in Protest The Hero's songs. Between The Buried and Me has a very bassy sound to them a lot of the time.

He's not really playing the song faster, he's just changing the rhythm of the notes. Faster notes with more rest until the next set. Improv, as previously mentioned.

Ok dude. At 1:12 he IS playing that part much faster. That's what I was talking about. I don't give a damn what anybody else says, that part is played a bit slower on the album. Haha.

paul always plays this part this way live. its just a part of paul's stage show. you'll notice that blake has a computer to his left, the last two times ive seen BTBAM live blake has had a notebook opened during there set. i'm guessing this is more than just so he can play call of duty during the soft parts. they play with a backing track, so im guessing they play to a pre-programed click track live..or else any slight variation in tempo will throw the whole band off from the backing track.
