  • I'm not familiar with glazing..I'm want to ask is the glaze clear? If not please tell me about the different glazes..or do you mix the glaze with the oil paint?

I'm just getting back into oil painting ..haven't done anything in years..I'm an older widow and am looking forward to it..loved your video, it really inspired me to try glazing.

  • HELLO EVERYONE IM STARTING A AIRBRUSH SHOW ON YOUTUBE FOR FREE. ILL SHARE SECRETS OF HOW TO MAKE YOUR AIRBRUSH PAINT. AND HOW TO DO PORTRAITS RIGHT. :)

  • great video..i have a question..im great at drawing but relatively new to painting..why do you use a medium..i always thought you had certain types of paint and you would use any paintbrush and throw it on a canvas..its all very confusing to me...thanks for any advice :)

  • @13RGaun You would use water to thin water based paint, and similarly there are a variety of mediums to thin oils. The thinner the paint the more 'flow', transparency and often subtlety.

  • Your my idol :)

  • scott, you are amazing.and to help people too, i`v always painted oil straight on and had problems with drying times. you have opened up the world of glazing to me,thank you.

  • thanks man i learned a lot

  • This is a great video. Really nicely put together; all the info but at a speed that kept me interested. As a 'new-to-oils' artist this is exactly what I needed to help me on my way to achieving the effect that I've been aiming for. I loved the time-lapse too; a perfect way to illustrate the effect - and you've inspired me to give it a try.
