I found the sleeve to the box this game came in among some other relics in my house... but I cannot find the disks. I was thinking of LPing it when/if I find them but it looks like you've already done that - intriguing so far. What do you use to record footage? I want to review another game from 1994 or '95 that plays fine w/o DOSbox, but when I tried Fraps the hotkey I set to start recording would not do anything when pressed.

CTRL+ALT+F5 is the command to use DOSbox's built-in video recorder. The quality is quite good and is much less taxing on your system than capture software such as FRAPS. I don't know if this is what Kikoskia uses but if you need an example, this is the method I've been using to record Dreamweb. It's especially useful in some games (such as Dreamweb) as it creates a new video every time the game needs to change resolution, unlike video capture software which remains at one resolution. Handy!

The 3D engine in this game is quite impressive! For 1996, this looks better, more realistic, and feature-full than the Doom engine.

What an amazing game this was. Bought it after playing the demo and we got right to the end and the last thing to do was a puzzle which was too hard so ended up cheating. This game was vastly underated probably due to it being under marketed and expensive due to it being in 4 cds. It was also back in 97 where not everyone had a pc like nowadays. Games like this were best on the PC using the arow keys and mouse.

I got this game when it was out years ago and after I kept getting killed in the first dungeon after I got the staff, I stopped playing it.

But thanks to you, I got the game installed in my laptop via DosBox and started playing this wonderful game again. I copied all the video files to my hard-disk - I don't like switching CDs. Plus, it helps keep the CDs from getting scratches from usage..

You know, the main house has no bathroom and no kitchen. Yet, there is a dining room. Maybe we should rename it Quest for the Bathroom :) Just a few details I wish they had put in for some quasi realism. If anyone remakes this game, I hope they add those rooms.
