  • @onlyx85 are you sure? :/ I'm scared I'll get hit with the £60 fine if it's too big. What was the width of your bag? Should I just return it and find a thinner bag to be sure?

  • @Bubble093 official Ryanair baggage dimensions are 55cmx40cmx20cm, so if yours doesn't exceed any of those values you can rest because you won't have problem.. it would be easier for you to carry a ruler and confirm dimensions in front of Ryanair staff :p

  • @onlyx85 I took it back and found another :) hopefully they're not fussed about 0.5cm extra width...

  • My bag's depth is exactly 20cm D: would it be okay? as you said the box is 2cm wider than the max lengths...

  • @Bubble093 that's perfect, you won't have any problem ;)

  • that's in Porto, isn't it?

  • @thewormwood9 nailed it ;)

  • @onlyx85 i was a trainee there, i should know about it :)

  • I just wasted 26 seconds of my life watching someone move a bag.

  • Anyone who flies Ryanair needs their head examined.

  • @OrodesIII lool that's not so bad.. :P

  • @Opith1984 : And I wasn't joking about them having admitted it. There was quite a scandal over here.

  • @Opith1984 : And I can assure you that however you do things in Gran Canaria, the same is not true in all places. Ireland is possibly the worst place for the various scams, and London is not much better.

  • Hey mate what happens if i take a bag bigger than this and weighting more than 10 kg? Can i still go on board if i pay does 40€ or can i be refused to check in?

  • @p3droPT you must pay that 40€ (or less if you choose to take baggage when you buy the ticket online) or you cannot board with your bag :)

  • could you tell me if this would be ok? I am flying ryanair in september and my hand luggage is 58x40x20, will it fit in the cage? thanks.

  • @TheMmoAdventurers that's fine ;)

  • Anyone who uses this 'airline' more than once, needs a medal of 10kg for their courage

  • have you got nowt better than this to waste your time

  • why are the "sizers" not the same size as the overhead luggage compartments?? I take my case on it just fits and no more yet there is plenty of room in the overhead comprtment.....must be rip off ryanair at their tricks???

  • I bet they still ban it if it were full of lead :D

  • Stuff unfit to put in the hold such as delicate but small musical instruments, wedding dresses, etc., and dont meet the requirements set out in Article 8.7.1 above, may be allowed in the cabin if they can be safely & easily secured into an extra seat you purchased.

    To book:

    Last name: ITEM SEAT

    First name: EXTRA

The accompanying passenger's travel document details must be entered during the online check-in. Theres no checked/cabin baggage allowance associated with the purchase of an extra seat.

  • @vokalistas I don't think you would have a problem with that 2cm more because, as I said, that metal box has 2cm above 20cm, at least when I tested it for the video :) you just might have to push it down into the box :P hope your bag isn't a rigid one.

  • @onlyx85 hi! what is the size of your suitcase? HxLxW? thanks!

  • @endrew23 it's precisely the size of the metal box, but it exceeds about 2cm from the announced dimensions.. so i didn't have any problem, except if I put too much things in the suitcase and it gets fat :P

  • @onlyx85 thanks for the reply! im flying with Ryanair soon and my suitcase is exactly 54x40x20. I just want to be on the safe side XD

  • @endrew23 good luck, what a shower they are!!

  • The bag dimensions at the check in are not the same as the check in box before you get onboard at the gate. My bag fitted at check in.......but not at the gate. I was embarressed as they asked me to take out clothes in front of all the people boarding. So I put my shoes down my jeans and my jumper around my shoulders... that was fine... I don't understand the logic in this at all.!! Could the gate box checking be smaller??

  • @roseipk yeah that's embarrassing :S never happen to me but I have seen some similar cases.. I don't think the box could have different dimensions from the one at check-in but I would argue that.

  • @roseipk : Yes, the box at the gate is smaller than the box at check-in. The reason? Having got as far as the gate, you are even more likely just to pay-up than to argue. Ryannair as much as admitted to this.

All these companies have their tricks, but Ryannair is the worst for the simple fact that they get away with every dirty trick, con, and scam in the book, and never once make an effort to conceal it.

    Bit like Irish politics, really.

  • @WhiteHawkUK They are the dirtiest players in the game

  • Best. Video. Ever.

  • Yay, it' fits! :P

  • @groupXonline That's what she said.

  • @Dragon22873 "he" said

  • LOL! It fits! ;-)

  • @JoeRoss1993 That's what she said.
