i want to put this exact stroker 15 in a reg cab f150. i can make the box the width of the cab.. but the length will probly be up against the magnet.. im not very experienced with these things.. would it affect the bass any?

The original cone for the stroker = FAIL because it was easy to fold the cones. The larger surround is an improvement!!

strokers have dual spiders and if i am not mistaken the top one can be adjusted to lessen excursion which it looks like this one needs..

Well, that surround is not the proper surround and does the sub no justice. Way too much excursion. Doesn't provide the right suspension for the sub..

these recone kits do they made the spider out of different material? this looks kinda yellow old ones looked sorta brown they were made out of a wood type mix. my stroker and vega 124 the spider tore underneath around the cone

The factory spiders were bright yellow when new. The aftermarket spiders are brownish-orange, and flimsy.  They factory spiders are hard to find.

christ. thats some excursion there. how does this foam surround sound compared to the standard fabric accordian surround? could you smell the voicecoil heating up during this test?

Easy... just get a Stroker-15 and recone it with the foam surround recone kit. The TS parameters change, but that's the compromise.

I don't know anywhere else to look besides CL. I have purchased two Stroker-18s from FleaBay, and no complaints. Don't know why you don't like it, but those subs are new. Happy hunting!
