Please please could you tell me where this came from?? My mum did an advert for Drive washing powder with Tom O'Connor in our house in 1977 and would dearly love to see it.
I think the really busy housewives of the '70s, would be struggling with their shopping on the bus, then struggling to the launderette with their washing, then maybe there's time to pick up their schoolkids (as long as they aren't latchkey kids by now, having been neglected by mum). Then, poor hubby would come home expecting his nosh, and some serious pussy afterwards...Busy housewives with cars and washing machines eh? Sheessh!
My mum too used to use Drive! If I remember correctly, it was replaced by "Radion" in the late 80's? A real shame both those detergents have no disapeared.
