Well yes. Unless two thirds of Congress vote to pass it, then they can overturn the president's veto and pass it anyway. Don't worry though, it's near impossible that that will happen. It's only happened about two or three times before.

I read an article where Obama has actually promised to veto any Internet censorship laws. So, while that comforts me some, I still don't want it to get to that point, and I'm not sure if Protect IP and Stop Online Piracy would fall under what Obama was talking about. I hope so, but let's not let it get to that point.

@Sonic10122 That's incorrect. He was talking about Net Neutrality which is trying to force AT&T to stop trying to throttle the internet. Joe Biden did talk about net freedom which is truly counter to his "piracy = theft" argument that he ran for years. But, if Obama did pass this before an election year, expect him to not be president ever again.

Guys, calm down. This bill will never pass, and congress probably knows this, they're just too stubborn to admit they were wrong on something. I garentee you, if this bill passes, people will be at the White House doors, tearing down the walls to kick congress' ass for violating the 1st Amendment.
