The Egyptian victory is wrong, Egypt was ruled by Ptolemey not long after the death of Alexander the great ( 323 bc) The Ptolemey dynasty lasted all the way to 30 bc...The last native Egypt dynasty was rhe twenty-sixth dynasty. :D

The cool thing with RTW (and History/life), every faction has some kind of weakness and strengths. To get good, mess around a little bit. Experiment. find what works for YOU. Have fun ^.^ To really get good, learn to mask your weakness and put your opponent on his toes. Just learn to use your troops right. Take advantage of their every ability. Use em in unison to compliment each others' strength. Either way, just enjoy the game ;) heard they're making another one.

@bellagar Becuase When Alexandra took Egypt they procllamed him pharo ( not sure how you spell it) then when he died his empire spilt and while Egypt and Selicuia became sperate nations they where both ruled by Greeks so it is Egyptian culture under greek influences and this is only a few hundred years after Alexandra

example in game some of the Egyptian Generals are called Alexandra and the city of Alexandria.

yeah im more of an infantry commander myself so i use Macedon, better cav than Greek Cities but lesser phalanx's. Basically if you can defend the rears and flanks of your phalanx while combining hits on the enemy from the side/rear you are garantueed to win, you dont even need archers hehe

-Weakest infantry, you can basically run them through with any kind of charge besides archers.

Barbarians

-Heavy close combat infantry, relies on heavy charges that demoralize the enemy, however barbarian armies are very easy to rout.

every faction has their own seperate strengths and weaknesses. it all depends on what kind of warfare you like and how u make your army more effective. if you guys think some armies are invincible, watch a guy named Princeofmacedon. he wins almost all of his battles even with disadvantages

I've seen him lose more than any every poster combine. The beauty of it is that he has an excellent base strategy that he can always carry out.
