Here in the States we have yet to see the 2008 Christmas special. I'll miss David Tennant as The Doctor, since he said he was leaving after this year. He did an excellent job. I hope he gets plenty of roles after this to cement his career. I'd hate for him to be typecast.

i thought tonights special was brilliant. it won't be the same when david leaves the show. but the doctor has regenerated many times now, and instead of dying, he gets another chance at life.

as he said in tonights(25th dec ) special, " onwards and upwards ".

the xmas special will air in the us on sci fi prolly in late spring..but if you're like me and want to actually see it ON xmas, then you'll have to go to "other" means online *wink* unfortunately david is leaving end of 2009 :( i'll miss him like everyone, but i know he'll definately be around doing other great projects! :) cant wait to see him in two months in hamlet! :)

Next Dr Who special isnt filmed until afer Jan. Why? Because filming a Dr Who special with a new Dr might get more press than you might expect. Filming held up until fans can see regeneration at Xmas.

Just cause DT and RTD say Tennant has signed up doesnt mean he has. They said Rose wasnt leaving, Davros and The Master weren't back etc.

RTD HAS said there's a big twist at the end of the episode so the media wont get preview. Might I suggest the big twist is the regneration of Doctor?...

Well, I meant to get my point across. He's one of the fan favorites is what I meant. I mean, I thought Tom Baker did a great job as the Doctor also. So I didn't mean to say he was the best Doctor I meant that he's a fan favorite. In my opinion he is hard to follow up on. I also David Morrissey is a favorite to be the next Doctor. Although he's going to be in the next special, anything can happen in DW. Eh, we'll just have to wait and see now won't we.

davros was taking planets from time as well and the void collapsed so the cybermen could end up anywhere also the doctor said that you could sit through the big bang in the void so they can end up anywhere it would be a great way of opening a spin off the only thing the doctor can do is to return them to the parralel universe where rose doctor no.2 mickey jackie jake the last of the preachers all fight off cybermen

Well, we can't have the Cybermen from the parallel universe because they are all in the Void. so maybe it's THIS universe's Cybermen. i do believe that if you go back to the episode in season 2 where we first see them, the Doctor gives an explanation about that.
