I'm usually quite partial to a sci-fi B movie, but this film drags and the characters act in silly ways. For example, why are the women partying and going off in couples when they know that there are a load of killer giant spiders about. Surely if they had any common sense they would be staying in the cabin and waiting until the ship arrives in a couple of days with a load of men with big fuckoff guns?

The first scene of the spider at the base of the tree is the BEST!! It actually shakes its fist at the girls when they run back into the house!!

I think the best about this movie is that it is so NOT about the spiders..or the monster. For more then half a movie you don't see the "monster" or spiders.
