Cyanogen 6.0 (2.2 Froyo) Rooted MyTouch (Fender Edition)

hey bro, will this work on a white MyTouch 3g or does it have to be the fender edition? & if you could can you please send me the links to the Cyanogen mod & how to root it. Please & thanks.

@CasstroAlexx It will work on the 1st GEN mytouch like your white one. For the tutorial go the the unlockr dot com and click on HOW TO'S tab then find the mytouch you have which should be the one without the headphone jack on top and follow the steps on how to root it. Then you can go to the cyanogen website and get the rom. Make sure you also download the google add ons as well or else you wont have gmail app or android market. The unlockr has a tutorial on how to flash the rom as well. GL

hey check out the xda forums and cyanogenmod on wikipedia it is very informative and you can find the google apps on there too for the phone look for the magic because the radio should be 32a it took me two months but i finally figured it out.

hey chino man thanks I finallyfigured it out I had to do some research and found the tiny gapps on cyanogenmod man that rom is sick especially with the live wallpapers.

i used the cyanogen 6. ds-rc3 2.2 magic it doesn't have google apps or android market and I can't access any of my apps this sucks then I took my phone to tmobile and the jackass broke my micro sd card holder so now I have to push the memory card with my fingers while trying to boot phone such my luck how did you get the apps and android market I like the interactive screens but I need my apps I lost my contacts because it wont let me set up my google account.

@supersucker72 I got the apps when i flashed the google addons when i flashed the cyanogen rom. you can find them at cyanogenmod website search for the one that applies to your phone. I would go into recovery after placing the addon in the sd card with the rom and go into the recovery mode, do a wipe and flash both again to ensure a smooth install

i rooted mine last night with universal androot and linda manager and how did you get android market and google apps and contacts to transfer over. i lost all of that so I recovered it back to factory reset.
