It can be addictive... but let's not take that too seriously. Has anyone really researched how many people are additcted to porn? Really, It cannot be a big problem. If my child got involved I would try to get them out. There is a positive side to porn, some prostitutes get out of that business and go into pron... they still have sex, but do it with people they know and can trust.

Porn carries all the problems that the regular media does, but it amplifies them, and adds in a new charge. Women are objectified to a huge degree. Men are all ripped an muscular. Porn is one of those things that can be great, and can be horrible. Some people get addicted to it, others do not. To define addiction porn would have to keep somebody indoors, away from their friends and family. However, since masturbation is something that people who masturbate every day or several times per week, porn can be a great thing. As far as expectations go, give me a break, we see rock hard bodies all over the place now in the media you can't blame porn for that. Bacon :)

the main problem is the age at which couples are getting married nowadays. what is a guy to do from 16 all the way to 32, when he can finally 'afford' to support a wife and family (and a sex life). what ideally should happen is women need to date more men--but women are hardwired to date for the purpose of getting married. and women are attracted to status and material wealth. so a poor, young guy just starting out in life is probably not going to be able to have a relationship that easily.
