..I went fishing [well actually my friend and I call it "night fishing", we go out at night and net gar and release them back out into the lake, very fun ] with a friend of mine on saturday i believe it was, and we found a collection of booze bottles, shampoo bottles, and shaving cream cans. It makes me sick thinking that people throw trash out into a community lake!
State officials dumped 11,000 aquatic lawn mowers into the North New River Canal as part of a regional effort to keep South Florida's drainage system flowing. The farm-raised grass carp devour hydrilla — fast-spreading aquatic plants that aren't native to Florida and threaten to clog the vast system of canals that protect South Florida from flooding.
