BEST LOOKING RIFLE? WHAAAAAT? I've saw mosin nagants dug up from underground for over 40 years look better than that!!! (slight exaggeration) it looks like a polished enfield, which isn't a bad rifle, but its sure as hell not pretty! (so you can polish a turd, then? plus the .338 federal is pathetic, why not a full-powered cartridge in .338 like the winchester magnum, or lapua magnum? Why not an M-14 or Rem 700 that looks like a rifle? WHHHHYYYY I ASK YOU WHHHHY???
What a beautiful rifle. Hey Crisis...your type crack me up. Go ahead and buy all of the black rifles, it leaves more works of art like this one for guys like me to buy up, enjoy hunting with, and improve net worth.
Blah, i don't like old hunting rifles. They look boring and they all look the same. I want awesome looking modern weapons that look like its out of this world!!
Bolt action hunting rifles have some of the smoothest actions in the world. Go play your fucking video games and buy some real guns when you grow up. Sakos are some of the best rifles in the wolrd. Don't get me wrong, I like the Masada/ACR as much as the next guy, but sometimes you just can't get any better than an old-fashion hunting rifle. The military's main DMR is a synthetic stock version of the of a hunting rifle. Ther's a reason for that.
VIDEO GAME???? What the F are you talking about??? Ninja???? What???? And to insinuate something about my mom is pretty dumb... Do you really want to make personal attacks about one's family members over some DUMB ASS Fucking POST??!! It just shows how dumb you really are.....Talking shit over the internet "Grow Up"! and Mature a bit!
Are you a friqin' idiot? How exactly do you warrant calling such a beautiful arm ugly? Mannlicher stocked rifles are some of the classiest looking rifles around. This is a beautiful example.
Na I like them more for how cool they look (well the ones I think are interesting anyway), target shooting, and if the time ever comes rising up and destroying our ape overlords.
There's usually a difference between practical firearms, and those that look nice. Many things don't really fit either category, but it's rare when something is both practical and beautiful. An M14 is going to be hard to get, since it's a machine gun, and a P90 or MP7 is going to be even harder, being a post '86 machine gun. This is, of course, assuming you're actually talking about real firearms and not games. But if you were, you'd probably realize how nice a good rifle in wood can look.
Since I can't have the real ones I have the airsoft equivalent. I'll admit my interest in firearms is mainly aesthetic though. As long as it's detailed it'll do for "looking at it"
For practicality (and actual use) I'd take an M14/M1A1. I would however drop the wood stock and switch to some lighter weight material.
I just have an eye for more non-traditional weapon designs is all. AK's, AR's, and most rifles strike me as bland. But I like performance, hence my love of the M14/M1A1.
That explains a lot. I have an original Springfield M1A myself, and the original wood for it, but when I'm out shooting somewhere a little less friendly I'll stick it in a 'glassed USGI stock, since I want to keep my wood looking good. To be honest, though, they're still 2-3 MOA rifles. An NM modified M1A, or M24 is going to be more accurate. For accuracy, though, I'd much rather have an AR-10, since there's no gas piston on the barrel, and a heavy free float barrel would be more accurate.
I was actually tempted to get a DPMS AR-15 today after watching some videos of it (even though they aren't my cup of tea. The price was good and it looked like fun. I'll have to give the AR-10 a look, especially if it's more accurate than an M1A. My main interest in those is that they are supposed to be like one of the the most accurate semi-auto rifles or something, but they are so expensive ($1200+). bit more than I want to spend to be honest.
No, not at all. A standard M1A is not a precision rifle. The National Match modified versions, and the M25 modification of the M14 are much more accurate, but it's an expensive process. A civilian M25 can run over $4,000, without optics or any accessories.
The AR-10 can be more accurate, as it lacks a piston and operating rod flopping around under the barrel. While the M14 has minimal movement before the bullet exits the barrel, and the NM minimizes it's intereference, it will still matter.

You are an idiot, I own a few modern weapons like an AR-15 and an AK-47, and nothing shoots better than a Mauser style bolt action

I think it looks lame as well. But I have different tastes from most. I like m14 ebr's, p90's, mp7's, and things that are NOT wood.
