  • my favorite of all your creations. crazy amount of functions, and pnematics!

  • cool that is my fav vid from you

  • awsome MOC

  • dude, this is the best MOC i've ever seen!

  • omg that is good, i prefer the mindstorms but power functions have their advantages :)

  • nice creation

  • one word dammmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • this is a lengen lego , were can i get this?

  • You can't get this. I've built this myself.

  • oohhhh , i though you buy it cuz i seein this lego in google

  • fucking crazy maschine you are a amizing ingenior

  • the music definatly fits XD

  • on the compressor activator are those mini cylinders?

  • Those are minipumps. You can't pump with a cylinder.

  • not the compressor unit but the cylinder activating / deactivating the pump are those mini cylinders?

  • Yes, those are.

  • is there any chance you could make instructions for this or any of your other creations?

  • That's unlikely.

  • don't you have a MLCad file left in which you made this? it could be usefull if you could put MLCad files downloadable at your site.

cuz i think it's a little unlikely to make this without MLCad :)

  • I think it's very unlikely to make this WITH MLCad. This is a Technic model, not a Castle one, and MLCad would never tell you how it will work. I never ever used MLCad to design a complete Technic model.

  • how do u design it then? couse i'm looking for a long time for a technic design program. i want to make complex sytems too butnit's a lttle hard to make it if you cannot make it first in a design model, and then buy the parts you need, then build it. do you have such a program?

  • Has it ever occured to you that I may actually use my own hands and brain to design it? Because computer programs are great for building castles and such, but they can't possibly show you the internal tensions or weight distribution of a Technic model, nor can they simulate the performance of its motors or pneumatics.

  • i agree, totally. but it would come in handy for sure :) well now i know that there's not a free program for lego, for an exception of Pro-Engineer(which costs around 2500 euros :P)

i'm gonna use my hands then too.

    thanks for answering!

  • there is, its called lego digital designer but it has no power functions

  • @searme Excellent point. Strange how people nowadays think you need a computer program for everything.. I remember I used to build submarines as a kid. They looked cool on land but when I would put them in water they were too heavy on one side or the other. So the "building process" was actually just trial and error until you had everything balanced. Although at godlike level, where you are right now, I imagine it's a lot more complicated to reach a desired configuration. Pure AWESOMENESS !!!

  • damn where did u get all the parts, the chains...

the engines an rc`s coool but very expensive

  • could you make a video of the pneumatic pump and tank plaease?

  • Is there anything you can't see on this video?

  • i see how to compressor works but is there some tank to store the compressed air?

  • There's a regular Lego airtank. I believe it can bee seen on the photos.

  • where can you get the tank?

  • Type "bricklink" in Google.

  • i found it now ty for the help =)

  • very nice! i wish i could make that!

    what's the music?

  • Great MOC. I'm actually involved in electroactuating pneumatic valves for a crane. Your solution is great, but does'nt allow the standby position, at the center of the valve. Do you have some design solving this problem?

  • I didn't need it, actually.

  • Aproxmetly how much have you spent on legos? :)

  • No idea. Well, I spent $19 on the parts that cover the tracks.

  • how long did it take u to build it ?

  • Some 5 or 6 weeks.

  • nice very nice

  • You always use engines to make autovalves,

to my idea, thats very inefficient

dont get me wrong thow, i love ur work, and those are probbebly kwite hard to design

If i was you, i whould (as an elektrician) use elektromagnets, those are not that hard to make as they are spelled

all you need is a steel nail and you put an isolated wire and turn it around one end of the nail, then a second wire at the same way at the other end

  • Ok, but there's no autovalve here.

  • srry, pneumatic valves that are motorized

i'm not really used of talking aboud technical stuff in english

    sryy for that

  • if you put elektricity on one of those cois or inductators they will become magnetic and attrack the main of the nail.

If you then put elektriciti on the other one, then will the nail be pulled in the other direction.

All you need to do then is fix ur valves to the nail

Do be aware that you'll need or: very long and thin wires or an resistor that you put in serial, oterwise it will give a short-cercuit or run ur batterys down in no time

I hope i could help you a little bit

  • You could also simply buy real industrial autovalves,...

BTW, sorry for my bad english

  • As far as I have seen, Sariel is what we LEGO hobbyist call "purists". That means that he tries to find LEGO solution to every possible mechanism. His current set-up is very near and 100% LEGO. Well, perhaps few of those pneumatic hoses aren't made by TLG..

    Sariel, I love your work.

  • Thank you. Yes, I'm a purist. I even use original Lego strings when possible. If I wanted to build with just anything, I wouldn't put "Lego" in the names of my constructions.

  • WOW!!

Do you plan on creating instructions for your fans to build ?

  • Very nice! Its just perfect to use it s a teaching tool oh mechanics and electronics! 9000/10

  • Thanks for the insight!

  • YEESSS FInally INEEd TO KNOW HOW THIS WORKS

  • wow you have so much lego!!

do you buy all ur motors and stuff from lego shop ?

where did you buy all those lcutch gears and technic beams and gears and everything =0?

  • I got most of it from various Lego sets I've bought over a couple of years. There's a FAQ on my website that lists best sources of loose parts.

  • Amazing again. I really don't know where you find the time. Thanx for sharing.

  • I don't know neither :)

  • Think you would be kind enough to tell me the song name?... :D

  • "Shave Me" by Stinkhole :)

  • Wow.

That is truely a remarkable piece of engineering right there my friend!

  • First... :D Boże Sariel może idź na jakieś konkursy modelarzy Lego bo byś kupę kasy bądź klocków wygrał.
