I really enjoy how the video first shows his trademarks (the building of the glove, the hat, the striped shirt) without revealing his face.

Freddy may very well be the ultimate icon of '80s horror (at least slasher) flicks.

It's just a character that nails "it": the one-liners, the look, the acting (ROBERT F'N ENGLUND) and the theme music (I totally flipped at 2:00, when it first plays out) all builds up to an unforgettable character. Nice job, pal!!

Nightmare's 1 and 2 were actually pretty damn scary. Mainly because you couldn't really see Freddy's face. It was always in shadow. The rest of the Nightmare's sucked. Including the remake.
