What I mean by potential is I can see past all his flaws and he is a good person. He doesn't have the best up bringing and I don't want to be like everyone else or like his own mother to leave him I want him to know everyone isn't against him. Being alone is not as bad as just feeling space with unrewarding relationships. In order to get what you want in life, you have to go after it. Potential? Tell me what that means to you? I hear it a lot. It's even been said about me but translate that for me so we can be on the same page.

kendrick brought me here like most of yall.. my girl talks to other guys and has even gone to their homes, idk what she has done there or who she talks to. we've been together for a year and a half next month. We had an amazing meeting which binded me to her. i was as faithful as a husband in an afterschool special. Idk what she does, im 19. I've met the world at 16. Not through relationships but with my eyes and i know it's mine for the taking but i feel like she's that weapon clothes and armor

i can't identify with the violent progression, but i feel like i can relate to the speaker's inability to love. it's like, he's so perplexed by her affectionate gestures, and he can't seem to accept them. or, even if he does open himself up to her affection, he winds up feeling overwhelmed and confused.
