  • waite a minute, why you cut the first thread "became both magical .... AND WHAT!!!!????

  • i can't seem to fathom einstein's enigmatic mind, i love classical music, but i appreciate the fact that i don't visualize anywhere near his'

  • @MrFaulconbridge Feeling mystical and having one's imagination go wild are both natural processes, no different from logical thinking. Just different behaviors of the same brain. The difference is that logical thinking can EXPLAIN mystical thinking, while mystical thinking is, by definition, ignorance. Mystical thinkers hate hearing explanations for things purely because they want to be free to MAKE UP explanations and feel smart without having to actually be right.

  • It's nothing mystical. The role music played is completely natural and scientific:

Music fires up activity in the right side of your brain, which governs creative and abstract thought - great for problem solving. That's all.

  • @taicleis but music can "Feel mystical" to people. Stop being so naturalistic all the time and let people go wild with their imagination.

  • Music is harmony, music is genius, music is one of the greatest gifts mankind can take advantage of. If you've never picked up an instrument before, i urge you to do so. The learning process is certainly laborious, but you will be amazed with what beautiful inventions of melody you can create by your own hands.

  • rather obviously, people tend to overestimate the role of music played in Einstein's role as a scientist, although music is obviously a important part in his life. the truth is it was a hobby which made him relaxed, probably equivalent to the role cigarettes/cigars played for the great man. also rather obviously, smoking tobacco was also a very important part of the man's life.

  • would you know if there is any recording of einstein violin playing? iv look around cant find a definitive answer great vid bye the way

  • You haven't mentionned who and when was playing that Mozart and Bach- there is just an unclear refference in the descriptions. Was it Einstein? It is really well played, reminds me of Adolf Busch. I'm just searching for some recordings of E. playing himself.

  • Wonderful photos of Einstein playing the violin.

A genius appreciating other geniuses (Bach and mozart)!

  • Einstein, the great scientist, a genius, who loved the music's genius for all his life.

  • he didnt count the beats!! haha nice, he learned by ear probably? genius!

  • I love Einstein so much....

  • Bach and Mozart - the only masters Chopin admired without reservation. (He also admired Beethoven, Hummel, Paganini, etc, but Bach and Mozart were his idols)

  • omfg this is freakin cool

i didn't know he played violin for the longest time ;P

  • ...and the Bach double concerto.

  • Mozart String Quartet no. 3 in G major K.156.

  • It is embarrassing to ask, but what is the song played throughout this video?

  • its on the description

  • Excellent!!!! He is my hero, really.

Im musician and phycist too, but he is a hero.
