  • You sir, are my idol.

  • It's always been a fascination the ingenuity of the rotary engine. And now I am baffled how it's built with LEGOs!

  • So it's a wankeling machine, you insert penis and the wankel will rotate about your penis.

  • wank fap fap herp derp wank wank.

  • You paid For THAT...

  • He said WANKEL :)

  • wankel engine bwa ha ha

  • Looks a little jerky there, did u forget to oil it? XD

  • works just like a real rotary engine, perhaps but i dont see any apex seals flying out the exhaust, perhaps in the next version.. :)

  • Heh. Heh. Wankel.

  • Way COOL mate.

  • Hehe... Wankel...

  • do a brick port^^

  • has over 9000 HP

  • FILL GAS IN IN IT! BURN IT! FILM IT! LOAD IT TO YOUTUBE!

  • As a lover of Legos and RX-7's, this is super cool!!

  • Wow, works like a real Wankel engine!

Good job, you managed to find the proper length of axles and angle of connecting liftarms. The whole way you built that is nice ;)

Unfortunately, it won't work without PF XL ;p

  • lol wankel XD

  • I love these motors, they are like a 3 stroke.

  • boring

  • What it is and what is the point of this?

  • Biturbo

  • That is by far the best video I've seen in a long time.

  • That's amazing. I used to have a 12a Mazda rotary. I loved that car.

  • You are sick my friend

  • it looks like a washingmachine

  • I Figured OUT HOW TO MAKE the ROTAS LOL IM TOO LAZY TO SPELL RIGHT ANGLE 5 / 2 axle / angle 3 / 3 axle / angle 3 / 2 axle / then you do that three times to make the ROTA but how did you mount the turntables on the rotas AND where And HOW did you MAKE the ECCENTRIC SHAFT? PLZ RESPOND....... OR LDD

  • I am currently working a LDD model, and will let you know when it is finished.

  • @DJSI3434 Your comments make me feel sick.

  • Just one word AWSUM!!! I Just wish you could make it faster mind showing me how its made on LDD (LEGO DIGITAL DESIGNER)

  • I made it move slow so it would be easier to see it move, but it can move faster. Also I am working on a LDD model, and will let you know when it is finished.

  • im sorry, i just dont get your math man

  • Very cool and very well made. 2 Thumbs up for this idea.

  • but will it blend?

  • I can't wait to see the Lego car it goes in.

  • Megola motorcycles have rotary engines... THIS IS A FSCKING WANKEL ENGINE!!!

Not ROTARY. WW1 planes have rotary engines, RX7-RX-8 have wankel engines. There is a BIG difference. GET IT RIGHT.

  • @hunterziegelmann Those plane engines are known as Radial engines, not rotary. Wankel engines are commonly known as rotary's. Sheesh, caps monster. Haha

  • Rotary <3 ^^

  • someone needs to make a compressed air powered version

  • Congratulations! Great build!

4 people do not know what a rotary engine is.

  • @jigrodrigues Please tell me how it works in real life cuz i don't understand.

btw i didn't dislike so um... there are probably more

  • you my friend have too much time.

  • nice... but will it blend?

  • The old Le Mans 787B quad rotor was the only engine at the end of the race that could be shut down, cooled then restarted all the piston engines siezed up. If that answers any question on structural superiority. They weren't even running turbos!!!!

  • i co ma tu byc fajnego ??

  • The thing that I don't get is where do u connect the cable that makes the thing work because I bought a Lego V8 motor from a website and when I got it . It was already made with no instructions . Someone please message me back on what I need for it to work

  • wow what do you do for a living? engineer or some thing? hjaha

  • Rev that thing!

  • nice little wankel motor...had one in my snowmobile up north...they didnt have alot of power..but the ran FOREVER. i bought it used and had the same engine for 7 years and not a damn thing went wrong with it...

  • that is one of the sexiest things i've ever seen

  • @jon99977 R100, RX-2, RX-3, RX-4, Luce, RX-7, RX-8... even Chevy and Citroen dabbled in the usage of it at one point or another.

  • RESPECT!!!

  • how you built it?

  • Felix Wankel would be proud of you.

  • very awesome but did you actually use a turntable for the center of the rotor?

  • I used the bottom half of a turntable for the center of the rotors.

  • man thats so challenging in your head!

  • Very Nice :-))

  • this is madness.........i luv it

  • @jon99977 Mazda RX-8 uses a rotary engine.

  • nice model

  • what gear is that on the end?

  • I used a differential gear for the stationary gear on the end.

  • rev it i want to hear that thing wind

  • REVV IT!!!

  • staggering.

  • lol bet that lego version would still beat a V8

  • @MrMaTTMaT

What are you talking about? Are you one of those ricers that thinks wankel engines are superior? Do you know how performance limited a rotary engine is? The world's most advanced engines are F1, and they're running 2.4 liter V8's.

  • @corotor12345

come 2013 there running 1.6 4 pot turbos thats how advanced Formula 1 is atm....

  • @MrWolemid

F1 is not running inline's yet... and my point was that wankels are not necessarily better than V8's. My example demanded a superior V8 (hence why I made a reference to F1).

  • @corotor12345

let me bring MAZDA 787B to your attention then. Beating everything in Le Mans (includes piston engines!) Wankels are extremley good engines (they may not be the most effient though and tbf they sound the best.

  • @MrWolemid

Oh I'm quite aware of the 787B... but do you know how often they had to change the seals? And how prone to failure they were? The engine had to be power limited to keep combustion pressures from damaging the rotor.

I'm not going to get tangled in an argument with you. There is no point to this, I'm not debating which engine is better, I'm just telling that joke of a fanatic to think before he comments saying that V8's suck, when they are structurally superior.

  • @corotor12345

They didn't have to change the seals, and all three cars ran the entire race without a problem. Mazda took the engines apart in front of assembled journalists and all the internals were in pristine condition. The engineers are even quoted as saying the engines could have run another 24-hour race.

Just thought I'd clarify this for you.

  • @AshleyGleaveDesign

Yes I later read about that :S

    I'm sorry, I stand corrected.

Although the 787B is not your everyday wankel.

  • this is what we call a REAL cilinder (from a engine)

  • Nice!

You should put in the title that it's a Wankel engine.

  • Impressive! Di you have any pictures of it on brickshelf?

  • Cool!

  • impressiivee!

  • That's awesome!

Too bad it's a motor pushing a motor though... :)

  • Nice work, Did you build this yourself or was it some kind of "kit"?

  • Built it myself.

  • hey can u make a video or try to mke a vid with this engine connected to something faster
