I Figured OUT HOW TO MAKE the ROTAS LOL IM TOO LAZY TO SPELL RIGHT ANGLE 5 / 2 axle / angle 3 / 3 axle / angle 3 / 2 axle / then you do that three times to make the ROTA but how did you mount the turntables on the rotas AND where And HOW did you MAKE the ECCENTRIC SHAFT? PLZ RESPOND....... OR LDD
I made it move slow so it would be easier to see it move, but it can move faster. Also I am working on a LDD model, and will let you know when it is finished.
@hunterziegelmann Those plane engines are known as Radial engines, not rotary. Wankel engines are commonly known as rotary's. Sheesh, caps monster. Haha
The old Le Mans 787B quad rotor was the only engine at the end of the race that could be shut down, cooled then restarted all the piston engines siezed up. If that answers any question on structural superiority. They weren't even running turbos!!!!
The thing that I don't get is where do u connect the cable that makes the thing work because I bought a Lego V8 motor from a website and when I got it . It was already made with no instructions . Someone please message me back on what I need for it to work
nice little wankel motor...had one in my snowmobile up north...they didnt have alot of power..but the ran FOREVER. i bought it used and had the same engine for 7 years and not a damn thing went wrong with it...
What are you talking about? Are you one of those ricers that thinks wankel engines are superior? Do you know how performance limited a rotary engine is? The world's most advanced engines are F1, and they're running 2.4 liter V8's.
F1 is not running inline's yet... and my point was that wankels are not necessarily better than V8's. My example demanded a superior V8 (hence why I made a reference to F1).
let me bring MAZDA 787B to your attention then. Beating everything in Le Mans (includes piston engines!) Wankels are extremley good engines (they may not be the most effient though and tbf they sound the best.
Oh I'm quite aware of the 787B... but do you know how often they had to change the seals? And how prone to failure they were? The engine had to be power limited to keep combustion pressures from damaging the rotor.
I'm not going to get tangled in an argument with you. There is no point to this, I'm not debating which engine is better, I'm just telling that joke of a fanatic to think before he comments saying that V8's suck, when they are structurally superior.
They didn't have to change the seals, and all three cars ran the entire race without a problem. Mazda took the engines apart in front of assembled journalists and all the internals were in pristine condition. The engineers are even quoted as saying the engines could have run another 24-hour race.
You sir, are my idol.

It's always been a fascination the ingenuity of the rotary engine. And now I am baffled how it's built with LEGOs!
phattacorider 4 days ago
So it's a wankeling machine, you insert penis and the wankel will rotate about your penis.

Good job, you managed to find the proper length of axles and angle of connecting liftarms. The whole way you built that is nice ;)
Unfortunately, it won't work without PF XL ;p

Not ROTARY. WW1 planes have rotary engines, RX7-RX-8 have wankel engines. There is a BIG difference. GET IT RIGHT.
