  • carbs are good just dont over do it like you said like once a weed or if your in sports then eat like pasta before you do for the energy just dont have a ton and think its going to make you super hyper cuz its not its just gonna make you lazy ;)

  • ive always been that guy thats never needed to work out. i sit ant home and play games to my dads dissapointment. my body could have allowed me to be a prime athlete if i started out healty about 3 or 4 years ago. as i havent been, im now beginning to see the affects of my current lifestyle, and im not liking it.

  • make sure you eat of the 4 food groups in each meal. and try to eat lots of small meals a day rather than 2 or 3 big ones. thats great that youre starting a new diet routine, im planning on starting soon also. its gonna be great, im real excited

    Wanted to add my two cents on cardio fitness. My jogging coach said it DOES NOT matter how far you go, a good cardio workout is a minimum of 30 minutes of movement with an increased heart rate. For some people that's running, some it's the jump-rope, for people just starting out it's speed walking, or it could just be a combo of all of them. It all depends on the individual. Cardio is the only exercise that burns fat/weight efficiently.

    1 year ago April 1st, since then I have lost 85lbs, but also gained approx 30lbs of muscle. It's all about dedication and will power. Hopefully in another year I will be able to lose another 85lbs :)

  • I was 290 last september. I'm now 255. My goal is to reach 200. I've been going on and off but now am stronger then ever to do this. My problem is my gut to, goes straight to my gut.

  • I'm going to try and be gaining muscle weight as im skinny but I dont really exercise much at all if I'm honest....so yea i think walks and about 15-20 pulls ups, sit ups and push ups a day should be alright to start out on. What does anyone else think, is that too much or too little, or is that about right for a starting point? let me know I'd love to hear from you lot. =]

    I would personally sugest not having any meat because eating nuts and and such as a suppliment for protein is extreamly more healthy for you and you family also.

    speaking from experience, I have stopped eating meat for many reasons (non religious lol) and have lost weight and feel amazing plus now I dont have to kill animals :) remember Life Is What You Make It!

  • I need to gain weight man. Had an accident about 1,5 years ago. Was riding my bike home from work while i was ran over by a truck. being lucky to still be alive but i broke severall bones including my hipp and shattered my enkle. since then i lost about 25 pounds while i was in healthy shape.. just can't get the weight back... But like I said, i'm just lucky to be alive.... PEACE

  • I went from 187 pounds to 153 last year, and I kept my weight...Now this year I'd like to lose another like 26 pounds. (I'm female and around 5.5 ft) I'll hit the gym again at least twice a week and try to get my mom to do it with me. then I'll work on my treadmill every day. I'll vary my diet a little as well. I think it's great that you're doing these videos, it really helps my motivation :).

  • I can never gain weight, ive been around 9st for the past 3-4 years. I usually eat everything from chip and burgers to fruit and veg. I also drink but i do some exercises with weight lifting and lots of walking

  • @ochy1 - oh dont worry i can relate it took me a while to put on weight. Ok this is what I did, i started doing long distance running which will give you more of an appetite, im eating way more then i used to. Also i take Lonsdale Megatein, its protein and a weight gainer. Just google it. But dont eat chips and burgers, you can still put on weight through eating healthy. Plus there are tonnes of videos on youtube about it, try it out. best of luck

  • i started my diet 4 weeks ago and i've already lost like 30 pounds . If you start eating good it's really easy to stick with it! I have been eating healthy meals! you don't have to starve yourself.

  • I've been taking off the skin off my chicken for a month now and doing some running for about an hour for 3 times a week for the past month and I do feel lighter now.

    And BTW, getting your friends to exercise with you gets you more motivated to lose more wight.

  • With you on this, I'm gonna stop eating all the crap I have been eating - I'm quite lazy and tend to get food while I'm out. Time to start cooking for myself again.

    I've gotta say though, that meal doesn't look at all appetising :p I'd go for a cesar salad over something like that. Tastier, more variety, and lots of protein from the chicken etc.

  • Hmm i started to go to the gym and i haven't changed my diet, and m8 I feel allot beter and i got broader shoulders now and stuff. So i recommend hitting the gym, you always feel so awesome after 2 hours of workout :)

  • i gained weight rather quickly after i bought my first car, aged 18, cause lets face it, i thought it was the best thing in the world, im now 22, and i've gotten back to the weight i was when i was 17. I managed this by walking to work, everyday, walking 30mins 5times a week really helped, i began walking because i totaled one of my cars, best thing that happened to me looking back on it, my problem seems to be the healthy food, i've cut out chips and soda, just cant get onto the good stuff :x

  • i eat 1 pack of oatmeal for breakfast, carrots and apples for lunch and chicken breast brown rice and mixed veggies for dinner...try staying under 200 calories with every meal. i work out 15 min every morning before breakfast, weightlift every other day and high intensity interval training the days i dont lift, i learned HIIT and weight training burns fat ALOT quicker then just cardio. saturday is CHEAT DAY :)

  • i think ill start my simple dumbbell sit up push up routine again. i did this for a month straight and i guess i got sick one day and just didn't pick it up again. and when your talking about not losing 60lbs in 1 day i was reminded of a saying my guitar instructor gave me when i started. goal lines not dead lines. now were he hell are those dumbbells?

  • I've been putting myself on the task to finally get back under 210...and lower. I know I'm capable of it, since it's my ideal weight. Though this is going to rough, considering the lifestyle I lead is contradictory to ideal health. Oh well. :P

Have you thought about training for a half marathon or any sort of race, because I found it was easier to stick to eating healthy because I knew if i didn't it was going to wreck it for me on race day. Plus im sure loads of people would sponsor you, i know i certainly would. Always something to think about. Keep it up digi

  • @MrArgsnart you wont be able to do it everyday...you wanna go on a 4-5 day plan with Arms and Shoulders one day...Chest and Core another day...Legs another...and just basic Cardio another day! You wont be able to Bench weight everyday as your shoulder will hurt big time! And remember let your body grow first 16 is always a good age to start lifting weights

  • I was run over by a drunk driver, literally run over, they crushed my pelvis, and I was stuck in a wheel chair for 6 months. I ended up LOOSING 35lbs of muscle, so I'm working on getting it back.

  • I started dieting, and i found it was better to eat meat and fibre so you arent so hungry. Eating vegetables could be less filling because they are water-based, so I prefer oatmeal, bread, and chicken. Good carbs and protein is the sheeet. I totally quit eating junk food, but its nice to treat myself to a treat like once a week.

  • I've started eating 3 bagels and cups of yogurt over the course of the day until dinner, then I eat a sensible meal, a balance of veggies and meat. Only wanna lose 20 lbs, but it seems like a good start. ^_^

  • i at least run for 20 mins on the threadmill and do some weights three or four times a week, id like to do more but school really gets in the way,

    also i've been substituting foods, instead of eating a pizza or burger every friday now i eat a subway or get something else healthier, instead of drinking soda now i drink tea or water, im still somewhat fat but slowly i will get more fit

  • @Harshfate thailand is awsome man.. but I see how you could have gotten lost in the world of street food and restaurants.. especially when the price is considered. The Muay Thai will whip you into shape for sure. Those Thais train INTENSE. Good luck

I'll try to lose weight with you. As long as you post these videos everyday i will stick with the weight loss plan. Ill try to go back to 180 like i was when i was 16 years old. Lets Do This.

  • Im 5'8 215 pounds. A year or two ago i used to be 242 pounds so i lost alot. However im still chubby and i want flat abs and all that. So basically im going to work out for a half hour (ill add more time as the weeks go by) 6 days a week, eat meat only once a week, and basically eat healthy. Hopefully if i do all that ill lose around 25 pounds and get washboard abs ^_^

    you need to add some fish and spinach to your diet. that will improve the mind. sure your body needs to be healthy. but your mind is just as or more important.

    i have started working out my self pretty hardcore man. and the trainer i was able to afford explained to me mussel can burn 500 celeries per pound. good luck bro hope u keep a solid mind on losing weight.

    I'm a slim guy (late teens) and i'm trying to gain overall muscle, yet still cut the fat on my stomach. I've been exercising and watching what i eat for a few months now but i don't do as much as i could but i like the what you said about "1 step being better than none".

    i'll be following your videos, while continuing what i've been doing and hopefully doing more. Maybe one of these days i'll get the courage to upload a vid about it.

  • I need to get a tread mill I think if I had one i would exercise but I can't be asked to go outside in the scorching heat and walk/run I went for a jog last night for like 1/4 or 1/3 mile (around my trailer park up hill down hill etc) and It took me like 30mins just to feel okay and breathing right again so I think I will start out walking then work it up but If I had a treadmill I'd walk on that all day and play me some MW2

  • I live on a university and it SUCKS trying to have a healthy diet. I may eat healthy and walk to most of my classes, but then someone brings in like 6 pizzas and I have to help them eat 2 of them. But I've lost almost 15 pounds this semester by working out twice a week and quitting almost all soda.

I wouldn't wanna live past 70. im not gonna limit myself to various lettuce, meat isn't bad, eat some wings. as for fast food? fuck that man lol you gotta be just crazy to eat that shit. Instead of using your free time to get healthy, use it to learn music or paint or draw or just anything, any hobby. you will loose weight doin something you really love cause your appetite sort of fades.

  • @sisk22 Real salad dressing is actually very good for you. Good olive oil mixed with fresh lemon juice and seasoned with pinch of salt and pepper. This is one combination of what real dressing is. Other combinations include different types of vinegar, fresh yogurt (not the store-bought flavored kind), and/or other fresh fruit juices.

    Processed store-bought "dressing" is what's not so good for you... But that isn't the real stuff. =]

  • That veg plate ain't gonna cut it brother. You need to mix it up and throw in some peanut butter for protein, some whole grains, some nuts. Dark leafy greens are packed with vitamins too.
