  • @mcshanksta why wouldn't you? You invested the money and time to do the same thing a manual could do....

  • I can't see how anyone would be proud of a turbo'd automatic.

  • This kit has been proven to boost up to 240 whp!!

  • i just got a 03 mazda protege 2.0 auto, n i was wondering how hard you think it would be to drop a turbo in it?

  • auto does 16.25

    manual does 16.00

both quarter mile times stock. I would take a turbo auto over turbo manual. I think the auto would get it. Now if its a supercharger i might reverse my picks.

  • idk y u would get a auto when u can get a manual a manual is much faster a manual is 7.6 to 60 and the auto is over 10 to 60

  • 8===D

  • @Yamabob776 , the reason horsepower gains are different in the exact same model cars are because each head flows differently...some better than others. Most mechanical engineers know this. Aduh american?

  • if you get 180hp at the wheels what percent difference from the flywheel-stock 158hp, on FWD cars. i ask, how much torque?

  • A lot of dollars for little results, the application looks unreal, unlike an evo turbo

  • So your Xb, which is a nice cruiser, stock makes 158 horsepower. Then you put on a turbo charger and you only get 170 horsepower? You need to take it to a real mechanic. That Scion should easily make 300 horses. The engine will take it, but I don't know if your transmission will hold up to it being an autostik.

  • @Tophairybutt ok go take your first gen tc or xb and see wat u really dyno. im guessin it wont be 158 hp haha. there is about a 20 percent or more loss on the scions through the drive terrain. plus engine break down. not to mention how every engine is different. i have seen the same year tc get the same intake and one tc only get 2 extra hp and the other get 10 extra in the same day on the same dyno. and the second pass was 180 plus. so acually ur gain is about 45 to 50 whp.

  • so you can make 180whp dude.. and still lose to stock wrx's

  • holy crap! a turbo kit that costs more than the car! why would you sink money into this glorified bread box? hahahahah.

  • @jt4265 I'm sure the turbo didn't cost $18,000. Why don't you do a little more research on pricing before you say something stupid like that.

  • @mcshanksta How is that stupid? Even if the turbo costs 2 grand like a nice turbo should that car is still a glorified breadbox. lol.

  • @jt4265 Yes, I do believe buying a turbo for this car is pointless (I have one and I'd never do it). But, you said that the turbo cost as much as the car. I'm just saying, you were a little exaggerative.

  • wait wait.....so with a turbo at 5 psi it only made 170whp.....HAHAHAHA wat a fucking pos i dont kno why ANYONE would even wanna b on the road at the same time as one of these shitboxes

  • alrite. so to clear up why ppl turbo automatic trannys is cause:

    1. boost is built up n' never lost cause your foot is on the pedal the whole time

    2. the shifting is much quicker so you're able to get into the next gear quicker

  • @CollegeBoyCocky ....that has to be terrible for the transmission though

  • @jgkov49 yea i guess so...but if you have a built tranny then its all good

  • in other words. Why would you turbo an automatic? you can't downshift or powershift or rev-match or time the power delivery like you can with a manual. Most importantly, heel toe downshifting to maintain traction at rapid deceleration. It's scary that people who dont know all these driving techniques from driving automatics their whole life are boosting their passenger cars.

  • @samsamsamsamsamaaaaa because people have to heel toe on a straightaway...fyi theres this thing called drag that you just race in a straight line, i dont know if youve ever heard of it.

btw stop getting all butthurt just because someone wants to boost their car even if it is an automatic. if you have a problem with boosted autos, do something about it instead of ranting about all these mechanics that you probably dont have a clue about.

  • i like the manual transmission cars instead of the automatic transmission one.

  • Compressor surge FTL

  • Automatic turbo cars mean you never have to let off the gas pedal.

  • Comment removed

  • i now what double clutch mean it on a manule ( u shift da gears)

  • @Georgenfla knowing how to shift means you never have to let off the gas

  • @Georgenfla for 2008 a auto scion xb gets 0-60 in 10 seconds the manualo get 0-60 in 7.2 so witch would u rather have turboed

  • @adcstmh your so wrong it hurts my brain. Lets base this on stock times =)

  • @dustinclark83 this is stock times 0-60

  • @Georgenfla it also means it shifts before the redline

  • i dont mean to be a downer, but why spend the money to turbo an automatic????

  • good call. Maybe it was all they had?

  • So you show a video of the car on a dyno but you don't move the camera to capture the dyno display monitor. You could easily just say the car put out over 500hp. Pretty worthless video without showing the dyno graph on the monitor.

  • dont fucken watch it

  • @twobigjets prob cause there's noone holding the camera......that's a kind of 'duh' moment

  • @twobigjets they HAVE to be lying then... because they posted the runs 170whp~180whp totally ridiculous they have to be lying

  • @twobigjets

    Amen!

  • I never understood why it shuts off so hard at the end

  • huh?

  • he never left off the gas to let the boost out. should install a torque damper anyway

  • @sovereign2 correct

  • how much hp?

  • mmmmmmmmmmmm BOOOOM!
