  • Orange caps!!

  • Who is the one n red (not maroon)?

  • @NickWatcher dan cullen

  • Is Dan Cullen in there?

  • @daza2313 yes he is in there quite frequently

  • Who IS the future of Aussie finger spinners then??

  • @johnnycheck99 Saying there is a succesful future of a Aussie finger spinner is like saying there is a succesful future for Ponting's bowling. Note how Warne was a wrist spinner.

  • @johnnycheck99 Steven O'Keefe, he has the best domestic record of any spinner in Australian Domestic cricket at the moment

  • Alas they are playing musical chairs with the spinners in the national Squad....

  • Its a shame SA tore up cullens contract. He was definitely a future prospect. Had the potential to be a force in the cricketing world

  • I can safely say that Xavier Doherty is the future of Australian spin bowling. Do you know who said that ? Merv Hughes. Shows you he knows shit.

  • What happened to Dan Cullen?? I was sure he would be Warne's replacement.

  • @MrTimnaik He broke his leg in heaps of places in a car accident or something like that :/

  • Sadly finger spin is an under-appreciated art in Australia. I'm an offie living in Perth and the fact that every mug with a bat thinks they can stick me over mid-on works to my advantage, something most of them don't understand until they're walking back to the pavilion.

  • but murlitharan is the best bowler u must appreciate

  • @TheHisham420 But he uses his wrists, not his fingers.

  • Comment removed

  • @TheHisham420 one of the best, not out and out the best.

  • and none of them as good as Graeme Swann :D

  • What is the song?

  • i find it's harder to off-spin that leg-spin

  • Yeah, but see the way those blokes actually give the ball a hard twist. On Australian pitches - well, Sydney on a bad day excepted - you won't get the ball off-line unless you give it a real twirl. Try it in Perth, and you'll see what I mean. But you can take wickets with bounce, air and nagging length, and if you can get the odd one to move, Bob's your uncle. They won't know if it's going to go or not, and that's what you work on.

  • but where is the magic ball of shane warne???????

  • hey is there anything to make to ball drift or turn a mile?

  • @razor02134 rip it mate. Rip it as hard as you can. Off spin or leg, the only thing to make it drift is revolutions!

  • Depends on the pitch too, some pitches just do nothing for spinners no matter how good they are.

  • @richdownes89 That's true, and on pitches like that a spin bowler needs to try and deceive the batsman in flight with drop and drift, and with different paced deliveries.

  • Study bowlers like H Singh and Graeme Swann get a lot of wickets due to this, but that might be down to the sheer amount of revs they get on the ball too. A good tip Razor02134 is to practise variation what kester41 says, Daniel Vettori does this. =)

  • Is Nathan Hauritz on this video?

  • several times. He's probably one of my favourite bowlers to watch these days

  • @dragon2712 I don't recognise him, that's all. He isn't about flight and variations, but he does his job well and gets wickets (bats a bit too, lol). So I understand that.

  • that was true of the Hauritz of old, but these days he's all about flight and variation, which is why I like him so much. Also a very attacking spinner, which isn't common these days.

  • @dragon2712 well yeah, problem is he can get hit for sixes, on a good day, because he relaxes to much, I don't think Australia bowl him as often as they should. If he could bat as well as Warne could, then he would be a very apt replacement for him.

  • @richdownes89 yeh at 0:07

  • wow 1:43 dat was good stumping

  • Im a finger spinner, infact, i ONLY use my fingers to generate my spin, i dont even cock my wrist during the delivery, i use a standard bowling action except i flick my wrist and my fingers right at the release.

  • @liambannin cocking the wrist allows you to have different variations, and a bit of extra bounce. Your missing out on alot if your not cocking your wrist

  • What is the song?

  • who is it

also he gets some fukking quallity wicket lol!!!

  • That Dan Cullen guy used to be around the scene, wheres he gone is he still around ????

  • I think Dan Cullen still plays for South Australia but I think he got dropped from Australia because hes always being a douche. Im not sure but Bajji should go and slap Cullen then he might stop being a wanker.

  • whats the song called..??

  • how you play

  • @suckmy100inc depends on who is bowling the finger spin, if he is attacking like G. Swann, it is entertaining but if it is like a part timer, i have no doubts it can be bleeding boring

  • People who reckon leg spin is better then offspin jus dont kno the art of gettin wickets with offspin. It is surely a challenge a to get wickets with offspin, because u need variety, thats the art of offspin.

  • i agree... a good off spinner is just as useful as a good leg spinner.

  • mastering every type of spin is difficult and i think they are all an art of there own

  • @johnstonl01 I do off spin, off spin is awesome! Much more spin than leg spin. I also do leg spin, kinda worthless in my opinion. A left handed batsman easily smashes it for a four or blocks it every time...

  • @WhatElseExceptNature

Yes it is, and i often enjoy bowling to leftys because if you pitch on the stumps and spin it away, they have to play at, mainly because of where it has pitched.

  • @johnstonl01 leg spin>offspin(of any kind).....

  • @johnstonl01 It is pretty tough trying to bowl finger spin properly.

  • @johnnycheck99 it can be difficult cause you cant impart as much spin and variety, u just need more subtle variations, thats how an offie can fool a batsmen

  • the ball around 0:37 was an beauty

  • is that hauritz at 0:06

  • Yes it is him.

  • @MrLigipigi ya it was

  • shane warne the best spinner

  • @dragoskull one of the best, some say Bill O'reilly was a tad better that Shane.

  • on the last spin bowler at the end the keeper displays very quick work,

    great vid

  • the 3rd one was the best

  • love him as a bowler we should be giving him a crack our best young spinner

  • who bowled the ball at 0:37?

  • Xaiver Doherty

  • @ozdoug ì played with him is a dutcj cricket league he is a very good spinner

  • @ozdoug he is not a finger spinner.

  • @nikefitcr9 ... It was me ...

  • These all are off spiners and they are eant to b finger spiners as off spiners hardly use their wrist and all aussie who lost spin charm after warnie and i dont think the all can take as much wickets as warnie teok

  • Let's be honest now. Finger spin is for those who cant do wrist spin. I mean honestly now what off spinner wouldn't rather be a legspinner?

  • Leg spin is probably more effective than off spin overall, but you simpy cannot say that all us offies would rather be leg spinners.

I prefer offspin for a few (hard to explain) reasons. I just love the feel of the ball when bowling off spin and there are a few other aspects that I prefer over leg.

    Anyway, don't go making assumptions.

  • @qwer938 try 98% of finger spinners wouldnt. I agree with finger spinners cant do wrist spin, its like saying saying Adam Gilchrist bats right handed because he cant bat right hander.

  • yeah ritz

  • I can't believe hauritz made the test team w a first class average of 48. But he's taking wickets against the poms.

  • Yea, on the right pitch hauritz is a frist class off spinner, and without a dislocated finger

  • But then again, it's the goddamn POMS!

    Haha, :D

Nah, but I like Hauritz, didn't think much of him before this test.

  • Nice song

  • xavier doherties action looks alot different with his runup and it looks alot better then his knew one cuz he had a very disapointing yr in 2008.

  • hahaha yah 2 bad all these bowlers are all useless, look at their statistics pretty embarrasing

  • He's Dan Cullen, where is he now? Struggling to bowl well in grade cricket, let alone FC. Gone off the boil massively, with an FC ave of 44, he doesn't deserve to be any where near the team.

  • who bowled the first ball????... and where is he now, get him in the team.

Hauritz is fantastic off spin bowler, has plenty of tallent :)

  • surprised you didn't include Brad Hodge, Michael Clarke and Andrew Symonds..

Bit hard to find good footage, but I like this video

  • 1:34 awesome delivery

  • Name of the song, m8?

  • the people by the music

  • cheers

  • 00:38, that delivery was an absaloute beauty!!!

  • how cum u dont show every non-wicket delivery?

  • wow that LB that Casson gets agains the left handed queenslander.

Watch the ball. It drifts with the spin and then straightens in the air.. if only hje could perfect that. Interesting stuff seeing as conventional drift drifts the opposite to the spin.

  • whats that song

  • can u give that song

  • im the best finger spinner in my comp rite now.

Its hard to get wickets unlike with leggies and wrist spinners which use flite, we have to use variety

I hate to say but finger spinners dont go that well in international cricket

  • i bowl off spin and its a great style to the game, plently of variety (just has to be used apropriatly)

Thanks for the video man!! you showed plenty of finger spinning talent in aus today! =D

  • Dark green no.24 is xavier doherty

    maroon(Dark red/purple) nathan Hauritz

Who is the one in gold(Western warriors)

  • Marcus North

  • thanks so much!

  • At 0:37, whos that who bowled?

    They did an awsome bowl

  • like the shane warne ball of the cenury

  • hauritz 4 australia doesn't spin the ball h only bowls right arm slow

  • Your an idiot.

I watched him bowl over 15 overs, and each closeup ball had a large amout of spin.

Sure the mcg suck with spin, but on the mcg he got some turn!

  • on the scg he got turn

(Why dont i reply to the person?)

  • He tried his best. stop putting him down.

Id like to see you be out with the aussy team

  • Finger spin in Australia is almost a dead art. You look at the top domestic bowlers, blokes like Krezja & Hauritz take their wickets at around 50. Australian decks generally don't favour finger spin (Muralitharan and Harbhajan's returns on Australian grounds is pretty average).

You pretty much need wrist spin for Australian conditions, and Australia don't have a world-class wrist spinner ATM. I'd say if your best bowlers are all quickies, just pick quickies. Didn't hurt the Windies

  • Macgill kept spin bowling alive.

He performed very well, and the really bad.

    Shame he quit, rip macgill(Cricket-wise)

I learning off spin and already know legspin.

Once i get good, i want to become famous

  • dan cullen is my hero. needs a run in the one dayers. he could cut it against the sheep ramers.

  • Which one is dan cullen -.-

  • dan cullen is my cuzin

  • any videos of cullen? alone?

  • Dan Cullen your such a tank pulling your sleeve up. Teach me. lol

  • I think nathan hauritz is like my 3rd cousin.

  • they are good but all rather similar

  • this video was a good idea.

would have been good to give each bowler a section of the video and name them

  • I think Hauritz and Krejza are the right men for the job at the moment. As for one day cricket I'd say Hauritz (most experienced) and Doherty. Either way we need to pick a spinner and stay with them. Give them a go against the kiwis and the saffies. The Ashes are coming !!!!. Also I dont think we have any wrist spinners who can do the job for us. Not at the moment anyway...

  • who is the left hand vettori wannabe ..hes good!

  • who are the left handers ?

  • one in green and blonde hair xaiver doherty other on i dont know.

  • @ozdoug probably steve o'keffe

  • @Jamal92554 or nathan hauritz, xavier doherty is always my choice for the ODIs

  • Very good vid, but some slow-mos would have been nice.
