  • this song makes me get a warm and fuzzy feeling inside my below parts.... the good life!!!

  • My mum passed away in Jan and this was the song i chose as we entered the Crematorium.

    RIP Mary

  • This may sound morbid as hell, but this is the song I want played at my funeral.

  • @markko17 read the comment above yours.

  • This is song is too short!

Probably to emphasise the fact that the "good life" is a tiny piece of brilliance amongst the mundane part of our lives.

    LOVE THIS SONG.

  • This song reminds me of walking in NYC on christmas eve with a "slice of heaven" if you know what I mean lol

  • perfect in time and style!

  • This song is fantastic! this makes me feel alive...Tony you're the best! this really can bring the sunshine in my live...

  • thank you aupro2311

  • Im now 62 and grew up in the 60's. When all the other 16 year olds were into Rock and Roll I was crooning along with Tony Bennett and Lou Rawls ect. R&R OK but this is best. Not to forget Old Blue Eyes.

  • This is me when I am in love!!!

  • This is one of my all time favorite songs. Grew up in the 50's and 60's and wasnt into R&R but this kind of music.

  • I love his rendition of this song. My late Mom's favorite.

  • oh its brilliant

  • this song makes me feel good.away from alll the scumbags in todays world.

  • this is an amazing song,,,,they used it in good fellas......reminds me of the days in the 50s when the old mob guys ran everything

  • reminds me of goodfellas

  • Does anyone know why it's worded 'kiss the good life goodbye' when at first the song promotes the 'good life'? Why does it have to end?

  • @isarte2007

'the good life' represents the superficiality of life, the facade, the mask we all wear when interacting with people. But to find real love you will have to drop that facade and let the other know the REAL you behind the mask, or you will never find true love, hence the kiss the 'good life goodbye'

  • @isarte2007 Just read your comment on this great song sung by Tony Bennett. "The Good Life" is a euphemism that refers to a carefree, unencumbered life...not dependent on a relationship with anyone. The song speaks of a man who has fallen in love with someone enthralled by "the good life", who cannot fall in love in return because that would end their "good life'.

'course it is paradoxical that in letting go of "the good life", we gain the love and togetherness, the two being greater than 1+1.

  • @wkrp1530 ! That was a fantasic description of this great song ( and my life!).

  • i love this song and im 15 years old its a great classic

  • Have the one that you love in your arms, the bottle of wine, and Tony singing "The Good Life" playing in the back ground, it dont get much better than this.

  • what a song love it

  • look for the name Arthur Manuntag, angd then listen and close your eyes and see for yourself

  • @thezaldy1 Arthur Manuntag's version is good, but like most of us, he just doesn't have the voice control of someone like Tony Bennett. Even Blue Eyes Frank Sinatra didn't have voice control up to his fame.

  • Im only 21 years old, but I love this music, and pretty much anything Mr Bennett sings. Amazing talent, nothing ever quite like him. And I dont think there ever will be. Bravo.

  • shut up son.....

  • saw him last summer at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. The place was packed and he sounded great. His daughter was the warm up act.

  • "The Good Life" (originally "La Belle Vie" in French) is a popular song by Sacha Distel and Jack Reardon, published in 1962.

  • good song! =)

  • yo tony you the man ... drop that shit son ... i dig this classic flava ... this shit reminds me of the vip section of the mandalay bay pool sippn some flavorfull drink and being pampered

  • i always thought that "son" should be called someone younger that person whos say that, u are 31 right? Mr.Bennett is 83 years old if im right. u should show some respect.

  • stupenda..fa sognere

  • what a touching mellow melody.

  • This song makes my sad days happy and makes me feel alive. I am 51 yr old black man and old school.

  • I like your comment :-)

  • @keith52t Very young man, only 51....

  • Awesome! Awsome! Awsome! Mr Bennett, that's ALL i can say :) I could listen to that all day.........

  • Amazing singer, amazing man! When you see him interviewed, he is always so humble, modest about his illustrious career. Just think, a wonderful painter too. What a talent!

  • @40sSonggirl When one is great, he doesn't have to go around strutting his stuff. A sharp contrast to the self-aggrandizing wannabes of today.

  • awesome just love it...far before my time but love it.

  • i LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!

  • a masterpiece!

  • i like tony bennett, think he's propper good man!

  • One of the best songs Tony Bennett ever did, hands down!!!!!

  • Beautiful song
